Well I just restarted Chrome and now I see it. That’s a weird one. I thought this was all server-side.
Behavior is inconsistent for me but I don’t know how any of this works.
Does anyone else primarily use an Apple device to view this forum?
It has an annoying quirk where it almost never appears full screen. The default is always a bit larger than the screen and getting it to be the size of the screen often doesn’t work or is difficult. Happens both on iPhone and iPad.
I am on an (old) iPhone and it works fine for me.
I’ve seen something like this but only occasionally, I wouldn’t say it “almost never appears full screen” just maybe once out of 20 visits or so probably
If I’m scrolling a thread and I see an embedded youtube, I play the youtube, get bored, pause the video and then keep srolling, once I get so far down the page the video just starts playing again by itself and at this point I don’t want to scroll up to find it, so I have to reload the page.
Yeah, that’s annoying.
Had that a couple of times.
This happens if a new post gets added while the video is paused. For some reason it triggers the video to play.
As the token Apple Fan Boy I’ll say I’ve never seen that.
I get this after playing any YouTube all the way through. I’ve started reloading the page after a video finishes to avoid it.
It happens for me even when no one else is online.
Hmm interesting. I can’t think what I’m doing then.
Happens to me as well on both laptop and Android.
Any solutions to this?
Try turning it off and on again.
Came to ask about this
It didn’t do it before some iOS update or other as I recall. I’ve always browsed this site with Safari, and that’s where I get it. I am going to try Chrome and see if it’s better there
eta I do not get the problem using chrome so that will be my fix please close my trouble ticket
It’s a super annoying iOS quirk
I’ve gotten in the habit of reloading the page when I’m doing with a video, that seems to be less of a pita than having it restart again.
