Yeah, that was elite. As was the sketch it came from.
Unfortunate that an apology is necessary.

I’m on the road with pretty spotty signal most places. My phone died so got my first ever listen to Hamnitty radio for 20 excruciating minutes before an NPR station came into range. I don’t know which Wi-Fi belongs to my host. Probably not this “Tell my Wi-Fi love her” one though.
I loved that Chapelle sketch, but I had to think about it for a bit to place where it came from.
I think the only way you can pull it off now is to use the original line with Wayne Brady. And even then I wouldn’t do it on TV.
I read the manifesto. I just think he wasn’t in any way active in environmentalism. The eco part was just a little talk - not really being an environmentalist. The fascism part was legit and I expect he was all over AR15s or whatever for quite some time.
The “eco” part of “eco-fascism” is like just xenophobic Malthusianism or something anyway. Putting “eco” in there is just trying to fool people. Like, I betcha this guy was against the Paris Accord.
What you’re describing is the definition of eco-fascism. It has nothing to do with environmentalism. Of course he was against the Paris Accord. His solution to carbon emissions was killing carbon-emitting non-white people.
Remember when a bunch of rich people said they’d give money to rebuild notre dame?
I know you’re all shocked none of them actually did.

They’re all Trump grifters, every god damn one of them.
After 10,000 hands, the system averaged $1,000 in profits per hour with $1 chips
After 10,000 hands, the system averaged profits of about $1,000 per hour using $1 chips, a “decisive margin of victory,” according to a Facebook blog post.
Lol wot
“10,000 hands” alone suggests to me that this was not in fact a tournament as poker players would recognise the term, and it’s just a journalist or sub-editor with little knowledge of poker.
10,000 hands times $1000/hr with $1 chips is like $1 million, equal to the grand prize in the annual World Series of Poker at binion’s casino in nevada.
ergo, computers just solved poker
I’m just trying to imagine a 6-max SNG that lasts 10k hands. Like million-chip starting stacks, opening blinds 1-2, levels up every 8 hours?
Yeah it was a cash game, not a tournament. If anyone is interested, the computer beat 5 human professionals to the tune of 48 milli-bb/hand (stdev: 25mbb), so 4.8 bb/100. There’s a Facebook AI blog post that goes into a lot more detail here.
Dozens of people, including a 12-year-old, have been arrested after a night of escalating violence in Hong Kong that saw police fire a warning shot near protesters and use water cannon for the first time.
Police said they arrested 29 men and seven women, aged 12 to 48, for offences including unlawful assembly, possession of offensive weapons and assaulting police officers.
Sunday’s protests saw some of the fiercest clashes yet between police and demonstrators since violence escalated in mid-June over a now-suspended extradition bill that would have allowed Hong Kong people to be sent to mainland China for trial.
Police fired water cannon and volleys of tear gas in running battles with brick-throwing protesters. Six officers drew their pistols and one officer fired a warning shot into the air, police said in a statement.

Pizza thing still looks absolutely amazing to me
Unless there was something being overcooked/undercooked by a wrong time being given…
Man I would be all in on eating that
even if it was just for a bite or two, because I’m not sure how much one could stand after that
