I was too young for Columbo on TV. But that sounds vaguely familiar for a certain someone who happened to lose a friend to a firearm accident. He too vowed to never use guns.
I’m not sure I watched any Columbo in first run. I saw it some here and there before this, but at one point they were all on Netflix and I watched them there.
Columbo just had the GOAT guest stars of any TV show anywhere ever. Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, Dick Van Dyke, Robbie the Robot (?), Patrick McGoohan, Johnny Fuckin’ Cash, what the fuck that show was nuts.
In my neighborhood’s discussion of the not really potential homeless shelter, someone literally asked if people would be ok with it if the people were not allowed to leave it unless they were in a program and didn’t mean it ironically/sarcastically.
Bruce Willis, Ed O’Neill, Jimmy Smits, Dennis Farina, Michael Madsen, Eric Bogosian, Burt Young, Giancarlo Esposito, Glenn Frey, Pam Grier, John Turturro, Ving Rhames, Esai Morales, are just some of the names from Season 1.
Those are stars who were already stars though, it’s more fun to watch an old show and see a ton of people playing bit parts that went on to have bigger success. My wife and I started watching Malcolm in the Middle a while ago and that’s another show full of people who’d go on to be famous.
