So I think another major pillar of misogyny is infantilizing women and pretending that they need to be protected to an absurd degree. I work in a pretty male dominated industry but 2/3 (4 out of 6) of the people I really respect in my current role are women. If you give any of those women an inch as a competitor they will straight up win your account. I take my female competitors as seriously as anyone else, and given the chance to harm them I’ll do it 100% of the time just like I would a male competitor.
Similarly I have zero problem absolutely ripping a woman to pieces professionally if she does something stupid and costs me money. I’ve told more than one female trucking company manager to save it after I made them cry. I have zero remorse for that. Don’t be a lying scumbag and expect me to show you mercy out of sexism lol.
EDIT: For the record I mentioned one of these encounters to one of those women I hugely respect and she looked at me with a look so cold it could solidify nitrogen and said ‘Fuck her. What she did was fraud. I hate women who cry when they get caught.’

I still don’t think he broke the kid’s arm and neither do the 5 entities involved in this who’ve spent hundreds of hours investigating. Including the Chiefs who already showed they have no problem cutting a great player who lied to them - and then went ahead and paid Hill. They have to at least believe that he didn’t break the kid’s arm. Otherwise no way they pay him. They might not cut him immediately. But they would never extend him.
But SE knows from one argument taken out of context which one party knew was being recorded and the other didn’t. None of the other heartfelt stuff Hill said in that conversation about not ever wanting to hurt his kid in life seems to matter. Some 3rd party called the cops and said Hill did it and that’s good enough for the kangaroo court.
Other than that I’m not defending his actions or words. But I don’t think it’s unreasonable to push back on the idea that he broke the kid’s arm.
And forgive me if I don’t take at face value the ever-increasing performance art vitriol on SE 100% - where they flip back and forth from DEEP HEARTFELT ANGER to flippant jokes on a dime. Everyone was all over the Chiefs about Hunt - then just like that no one gave a shit when Hunt to the Browns. There’s your selective morality. I doubt they’d care nearly as much about Hill if he was on the Raiders. But because it’s a good team with a basically unfair offense when all healthy - that seems to fuel the fire.
I remember when that kid died at ND practice and for years a few posters would bring up “YOU KILLED A KID” every time Brian Kelley did something. I thought it was a little disingenuous as it always also happened to be ND haters. And I pretty much hate ND.

Well that 5% seems to have happened at least on the most serious accusation. I wish we hadn’t extended him - which I said before it happened.
I’m more about if I think things are fair or true than a lot of people. I don’t think it’s fair to make jokes about someone for breaking their child’s arm when pretty much everyone involved agrees it didn’t happen.

That’s where I come down on income inequality too tho. Are we really all okay with our standards of living dropping if the rest of the world started being paid competitive wages, and the ones that say yes, are you saying that from a relatively safe field?
