Summer LC thread

Ug. Clovis is right. SUB already agreed it was offensive.

That’s not a false equivalence at all bro.

So sexy is off the table from now on I assume.

Meanwhile, we really need to get sex work legal.

Impressively deplorable.

Perfect illustration of your dissonance.

But, aren’t you one of the people who decries ‘purity testing’?

Not sure what you mean?

It means you have an awfully quick trigger finger on calling people deplorable.

I feel worse for starting this derail than I do for using the word ‘fuckable’.

You should

I agree also. I had it in a prior post and deleted bc I didn’t feel like ceding the point to clovis when he’s getting on a soap box and has contradictory views imo.

Why are you shaming using the word fuckable clovis?

By a man (presumably) 15-20 years her junior. Woman are fuckable to guys around their own age forever.

Fuckable was a wrong word, he already agreed to it. Your point isn’t about that word tho, it’s about women’s beauty and their virility. If he said she was still attractive, you probably wouldn’t have, but you could have argued the exact same way with a few word choice tweaks. You argued the point you thought you could win, I know you would like to take it further.

That wasn’t my point. My bad. Poor choice of words. I just meant it was a deplorable comment.

Clovis,

Ideally would men not comment on women’s attractiveness and beauty at all?

You are just trolling now.

I’m not trolling, but I think you’re being disingenuous.

Sexy is okay?

Again context matters.

If you are on a date or in bed call her sexy all you want. If you are talking about women on tv, who are discussing politics, addressing their perceived sexiness is pure misogyny.

Shut up Clovis. You’ve said worse about Melania before.

I didn’t realize she made the turn to political commentator. I thought she was still just a celebrity.

Watching CourTV with the wife the other day.

Court reporter comes on:

Wife: Wow, she’s pretty.
Me: silence

I should’ve spoken out.

Not to mention religious bigotry…but he is kind of right.
