It doesn’t need to be reported. I was just trying to point out something which is bad but I’m sure you didn’t really mean.
I’ve no doubt you are not a misogynist. I’m sure you meant it as a compliment It’s just this type of language and thought is so common it can easily pass without even being noticed while reinforcing sexist ideas too rooted in our society. This is especially true online where women are so often the target of these corrosive ideas.
Pam was stanning for Assange, making some half-hearted points along the way that anyone on the left can about America’s tyranny … and that’s about it.
McCain was doing the normal right-wing obstinate act. Same shit my mom does when around all her left-leaning friends: stifle conversation. Hello! There are some people on the other side here, so, ya know. Ya know. C’mon guys, let’s just sew.
It’s not just about whether Pamela Anderson would be offended by it. The better question is, would a random woman reading this thread be offended by it or upset by it? Would she think her value was intricately tied to whether or not she was “fuckable?”
This has literally nothing to do with kink. It has to do with women being treated as humans.
You realize your very question is sexist right? What does “what we know about her” have anything to do with it? It’s ok to be sexist with some type of women?
The sexist part was not the word choice. It was the idea that a woman’s sexual worth has an expiry date. It’s dehumanizing and reinforces the idea that sexual worth is all women are for.
If you want to treat a woman as a human, you’re not okay with raising her to be a prostitute.
Knew you were going to key in on that. I wish there was some way to time something to post after you showing I had it cued up but it’s moot to post beforehand when you can change your approach. Yes, with woman who own their sexuality and use it as a tool for empowerment and income as explicitly as she has (being fuckable isn’t much of a hidden subtext).
You want it to be both ways. She can show up on TV in a garter belt (and less in movies), she can bathe on MTV Cribs and have her 4 year old twins in Playboy bunny beanies for the cameras, she can iconically pose in Playboy multiple times: but we shan’t discuss m’lady in sexual terms.
Speaking of her, I listened to a great 6 part podcast this weekend on the admissions scandal. It was SO much worse than I thought. Quintessential rich people gaming the system. They even got tax right offs for their bribes.
We already covered this. Sex work is work. If a woman chooses that profession why do you get to deny her that choice? That’s simply more sexism.
You really seem to be struggling with the idea of women having choice. Yes a woman can do all those things AND still not deserve to be called no longer fuckable because of her age. Your logic is insanely sexist. You are basically saying any woman who has expressed her sexuality in public should be open season for any type of sexual comments.
Stormy Daniels can both be a sex worker and claim rape.
I’m currently trying to get a hold on how the Czech government works. Seems to be a mix of America in that it’s a bicameral legislature and the president is directly elected and the UK where the PM is selected by the majority party (or coalition). However, MPs in office are not directly elected and instead you vote for the party. Then they use the Jeffersionian method to determine how many seats each party gets.
The first presidential direct election in the CR got the Czech version of Donald Trump elected. Unlike the actual Trump, he won the popular vote in the second round by about 3% of the vote. He’s just as old as Trump, was supposedly under the influence of drugs during TV appearances leading up to his first election, has an approval rating hanging around the 40s after a number of scandals involving his allies, has been involved in a crazy amount of lawsuits, goes out of his way to offend nearly everybody, is incredibly obese (he’s been diagnosed with diabetes and has trouble walking due to diabetic neuropathy) and it has been speculated that he’s going senile,.
The irony of the guy leading the far-right Czech nationalist, anti-immigration movement being an immigrant himself is laughable. Could somebody be any more self-hating? I’m so glad that his party is losing power.
Meanwhile, the Czech Pirate Party is gaining power. By U.S. standards, they’re far-left. They’ll likely be the second most powerful party in the legislature in a couple of years. Unfortunately, Czechia’s version of the Five Star Movement, ANO (the Czech word for ‘yes’) has a near stranglehold on the government
