Who likes tennis? I love tennis, past my bedtime watching AO, seeing Kenin for the first time. Gauff started to beat herself but very impressed with Kenin.

I like tennis. Gauff/Kenin match was great, Kenin played it like a cold blooded killer. I was rooting for Gauff but Kenin won me over in the end. Kyrgios is my favorite player, and the Kyrgios/Khachanov was incredible, one of the best matches I’ve ever seen. Sad to see Nick go down against Nadal but I’m glad he played well. Nadal is just so tough. Schwartzman is another guy I root for but when he runs into Novak he just has zero chance. He just can’t create enough offense to even bother Novak. I caught Sandgren beating Berrettini in the second round and started following Sandgren’s run. He looked very good against Querry, and then again looked good against Fognini. The Sandgren-Fognini match was incredibly entertaining with tons of Fognini antics/drama and Fabio alternately not trying at all (losing the first four games of the second set) and then playing out of his mind (winning the next five games). Don’t like Sandgren’s chances tonight against Roger, but who knows. I love Roger so I don’t even know if I want Sandgren to beat him, but I love underdogs and the 28 year old 100 ranked Sandgren winning the Australian Open would be a great story. So fuck it, go Sandgren. Although, uh, he’d still have quite a bit of work to do to bring home the trophy, probably have to beat Novak and Nadal. Good luck with that.
Stan vs Medvedev was great too, I’m wondering if this is the year Zverev does something but I’ll believe it when I see it.
I really like Medvedev, he seems like such a calm and humble guy. Loved that final he played against Nick in the Washington Open last year.
He’s very fun to watch, capable of basically any shot that exists and inventing new ones. His defense is Murray-esque sometimes. Calm tho, maybe recently but he’s been a bit of a bad boy of tennis no?
I’ve only watched a few of his matches. Maybe he just seemed calm compared to Nick.
