He’s showing the wrong match, wtf

Ludicrous.

Wrong guy… His next opponent could be it if he gets through this match.

Oh, wow, didn’t even check if there was a third round!

Now 1-1, Hendry missed frame ball and got punished.

My word, years in the snooker desert on the continent and I am way out of touch. I need to put this eurosport subscription to good use.

Young zhuo has been putting the hours in on the circuit here down south with the matchroom boys, he’s solid but as always nerves, Stephen has no nerves. :joy:

Think I’m switching to curling, it’s now 3-1 to Xu at mid session. The lad has made a few 80+ breaks, which is basically cheating against Hendry at the moment.

I hope you enjoyed the 1st round of matches in the Snooker, I seen most of the top seeds and watched Ronnie V McGill today & I got to say Anthony has the beating of Ronnie with his game, I’m hoping for great snooker tomorrow morning when play returns.

My ratings so far…

Niel Robertson
Jude Trump

A close 2nd

John Higgins
Mark Selby
Ronnie O’Sullivan
Anthony Mcgill
Barry Hawkins
Yan Bingtao

Obviously Niel and Jude are favourites imo… Ronnie & Mark Selby are a very close 2n along with John Higgins as you just can’t split these 3 until they play

If I was betting on an outsider it would be Mark Selby then Yan Bintao whom were both very impressive during the 1st round.

I’ll state that I want John Higgins to win it and hope we get a Niel Robertson final…

On form I’d say the match between Niel & Jude is the outright favourite and probable winner, they should meet in the semi-final.

Sadly I tend to only get to watch the evening sessions and then not all the time, so I haven’t seen most people and I tend to skip if it looks like not really a match. So I watched a lot of Wilson V Wilson, and Bingham V Ding. Bingham came through well and they were both playing pretty sweet snooker by the end. I’m afraid I did also tune in for the second session of the Higgins match, but mostly because I wanted him to lose (not match fixing stuff, I took against him when he sacked off a tournament half way through for his Brother’s wedding many years ago!)

I saw a tiny bit of Ronnie V McGill earlier, definitely didn’t seem like Ron was in control and he wasn’t really on top form against Joyce either, despite the scoreline. Personally I always want Ronnie to win, but I do like McGill. I kinda like Selby despite himself, I always feel like I should like Robertson and Trump a bit more than I actually do. Was impressed by Yan Bingtao, he might become a favourite, he had a good line in rueful smiles.

He’s very close to his brother, I sat with them both at the Poker table and 2 guys ripped the utter bollocks out both of them, mind you, not many survived the ribbing at the casino in those days. Funny stuff.

Tbh, I’ve never been a fan of Higgins, always wanted hendry to win then Ronnie as he was the best but since last year and as he closing in on Stephens record I can’t for the life of me root for him again.

I want to see Higgins get some revenge for his last few loses at the final so if he reaches it I’d want him to win & of course because he’s a Scottish local.

Other than that Robertson has been my favourite since 2010 or so as he’s just such a nice guy and tries his heart out (like most) and shows the pain in his face & still manages to be a gentleman. The other players said so in interviews too Niel is just too nice lol, since then he’s tried to have a game face.

As I’ve always had an eye on the foreign players and it’s great to see one win it, Yan Bingtao is becoming my new favourite alough Kieran Wilson caught my eye last year too.

So I suppose overall I’ve not really got a favourite, sounds bad but it’s always been hendry so I’m following the crew  and if Niel or John wins it I’ll be overjoyed.

Something tells me Mark Selby will have a big say too though.

God I’m terrible :innocent:

Edit: And if Anthony Mcgill makes it ill be as overjoyed for my local, I’d love to see it tbh, the final last year was painful for me to watch too and its why I took the liking to Kieran.

McGill would be amazing too but I can’t see it tbh.

Jeez who’s the player with the Brian May hair?

Niel Robertson

Niel looking good today @pyatnitski and so is Anthony Mcgill, I missed the morning show so didn’t see it.

Alough young Jack Liswoski is playing very well Niel was at his best today and managed to squeeze out a 2 frame lead 9-7 going into the last session.

The Match between Higgins V Williams has been excellent to watch, some antics by both and some great shots. Tied at 3-3 as I’m watching the highlights.

I should do some work this week :joy::joy::joy:

Yeah, I missed Ron this morning but fingers crossed for later. Saw a bit of Williams Higgins as a friend alerted me to the break offs, bit negative but I can see why they do it. Liswoski Robertson has been great so far, Robertson always just edging the sessions but you never know.

Ronnie looks a different player from yesterday, he seems to be playing to win tonight by all out attacking the table, could be a long night for Anthony

The pot he potted in the middle :man_shrugging: like wtf :relaxed:

Yeah it was something to see, Higgins only done it once I think just to wind mark up a bit.

I think as it was the highlights I watched but from reports it was only once.

Interesting to see how they play going forward after this WC if it takes off lol
