Experiencing McEnroe’s antics in real time was very different than seeing them now. McEnroe was punk rock in a lot of ways.

I don’t have the makeup to go that fast. I hit 50 on my fastest descents, and even that’s nerve-wracking.

Djokovic got disqualified for hitting the line judge by a careless mistake at best.

Something something 2020.

This is the highest probability of a Canadian men’s champ in a long time.

You don’t see Nadal attacking the judges like that.

Anything less than a ban from the sport entirely is taking it easy on Novaxx.

It sucks for the fans but I’ve got no problem with the DQ.

If Félix Auger-Aliassime wins it there will be a grand slam winner born in 00’s before one that was born in the 90’s

Literally watched that skit again for the 100th time last night. Still makes me laugh.

I’m going to both sides this and say he should probably be disqualified under the rules, but the line judge failing over after being hit by a tennis ball is just lol.

Reminds me of the first @Rivaldo

That was a perfect throat shot. An inch in any direction Djok probably doesn’t get DQed, but by the rules that is a DQ

Yes, I think that’s what I said.

Well I don’t think that reaction is that far fetched on a perfect throat shot, especially when unexpected, even if the shot didn’t look that hard.

I need to watch this on a bigger screen than an iPad. I didn’t see he got him in the throat.

The video quality is so bad I still can’t tell where the impact is.

It was a female judge, so screen issues check out

Ok, from the reports it was a middle aged to old female line judge, not a man as I first thought. Probably not an overreaction on her part after all.

He also showed a flash of temper two games earlier at 5-4 - whacking a ball into an advertising board after the Spaniard saved three set points.

Leon Smith, Great Britain’s Davis Cup captain, said he was “surprised” Djokovic did not get a warning for that incident, and felt one might have prevented the controversy which followed.

After Djokovic was defaulted, Smith told BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra: "There has to be consistency, if someone hits a ball with that much venom and temper, call a warning.

“The second one can be dangerous and so it proved to be.”

Can’t wait for the army of wild attack dogs to see this.
