I forgot he wasn’t tbh.
Had a post to go about how he was definitely worried about his safety, Jerry that is. But double-checked first and knew I couldn’t use ‘Bisciotti’ to the same effect.

I’m sure nothing will happen here because for whatever reason Duke is the golden child of the NCAA. (Obv the solution is to just pay the damn players but if we’re all playing by these rules let’s see if Duke gets got).
I hope Covid kills the NCAA somehow.
The idea that kids who mostly dedicate themselves to get to the pros to help their families are wrong for taking “gifts” while making millions for colleges is insane.
I can’t stand the idea that being against taking gifts is some sort of moral high ground. It is like feeling your morally superior for supporting the slave owners.
I am glad a couple top ten recruits decided to bypass college for the G league. They won’t get rich in the g league but they can pay their bills anc help their families.
Football is really the big sticking point. I don’t know if a minor league system works well for football, plus the long term future of football is murky. But many other sports have professional alternatives to college and basketball needs to get where the best 18 year olds go to Europe, Asia or the g league and college is pushed back as a place for those not good enough to be a professional.
You don’t even have to have the NCAA or the schools pay them. Just allow them to advertise. Zion gets paid massively last year if he is able to do ads
It’s live to.
Would be a hell of a silver lining to get rid of dumbass college sports. Especially, because it would be like another Civil War loss for the South

The problem is that if you allow that then there is going to be a lot of “advertising”. It won’t be Nike or Adidas, but I’m sure some UK booster can easily find some five figure local ads gig for even the deep bench players.
I guess if you’re for paying athletes, then above is not really a problem, and that’s not an unreasonable position. However, above is how the NCAA sees it.
World Baseball Classic was scheduled for 2021. It’s been cancelled til 2023.
Lol that has to be photoshopped.
It could be, but also it could be real. Anyone with lots and money and lots of free time can get in shape, especially if they are inclined to athletics
But why did he wait until he retired to get in shape?
I don’t know his personal circumstances but if he’s prone to being overweight then the stressors that come with performance and lack of control over his schedule would make it hard to keep weight in check while playing. Also, a fairly common aging curve for overweight people is you live with it until your 40s and then the adverse health outcomes start to roll in and it motivates a major change. I’ve met a few big dudes at my gym who basically admit that a few scary events and / or doctor’s visits basically scared them straight.
Also he can take all the HGH and testosterone he wants now.
Unlike in MLB?
You have to at least work around the testing schedules. Also if you start to look like Barry Bonds with a cinder-block head - people are going to get suspicious.
He looks like a tantric sex trainer stationed on a vacation getaway.
Casinos in AZ opening is really gonna fuck with MLB if there’s an outbreak.
I’ll be swerving betting on this like it’s corona.
I have no idea how the markets will adapt to playing behind closed doors or the long lay-off.
I’d expect that to be priced in, the same as reduced home advantage, but
