There has been a push to demod the current moderators. I think they are doing a good job and are not appreciated for what they do. A similar poll has been started by @anon10396289 here: Should Appointment to Moderator be for Life?, however I think that poll is confusingly worded in what it is polling to the community, because it would de facto demod the current moderators, and I don’t think that is at all clear from the wording of that poll. So here’s a simpler poll. Should the current moderators be demodded, or should the be allowed to continue on.
Should the current moderators be demodded, or should they be allowed to continue on.
no it doesn’t. if anything, when the resolution passes, it would be reasonable for the current group get one term starting immediately (assuming that they want to stay on ofc)
We don’t need this. Keeed invalidated his own poll by changing the rules midway through it. I think an actual, real poll to put mods on 6 month terms, with no term limits, seems both popular and reasonable.
How is this biased towards them? It merely asks if they should be demodded or not. If the other poll passes, they are demodded. I don’t think that’s clear to everyone.
The “just asking questions” schtick. You know damn well “mods for life” was the most provactive way possible to ask the question, and then you come in here playing dumb when jman clarifies the point.
Unlike you, I have no desire to turn this place into a shitshow so I’ll see myself out… Have fun with your little games.
Neither is the original poll, which appeared to me to be a badly worded poll that, if passed with no clarification, would result in us firing all the mods. Therefore I felt it important to have an actual poll that clarifies this.
You aren’t helping and have actively contributed to where we are at by egging on and fanning flame ups of long running feuds. Try not helping harder for a while please.
