Should the current moderators be demodded?

There has been a push to demod the current moderators. I think they are doing a good job and are not appreciated for what they do. A similar poll has been started by @anon10396289 here: Should Appointment to Moderator be for Life?, however I think that poll is confusingly worded in what it is polling to the community, because it would de facto demod the current moderators, and I don’t think that is at all clear from the wording of that poll.
