I asked about this earlier, but I think (not 100% sure) that each room gets one individual refiner. So if Mark starts Cold Harbor, then he does all of Cold Harbor. I don’t think we have ever seen two of them working on the same file. If I’m wrong about this, I’m sure someone will let me know.
I think this is standard “it’s easy to establish a premise, it’s hard to resolve a plot” TV stuff.

Jame was also aura framed when he appeared down on the severed floor
this felt like a pretty inefficient episode, which I guess fits with the rest of the season, just seems like a lot of bad narrative choices were made.
I don’t really completely grok Burt’s story here. He’s some sort of “enforcer” for lumon? Helena mentions that they’re “handling” irving, but I assume she meant burt was gonna drive Irv out to the ocean and give him some concrete shoes? But Burt says he never hurt anyone? And why would they even send a “goon” like this down to the severed floor?
I don’t really get drummond either, I’m guessing like his mother is like Jame’s sister or something, sometimes they position him as a relatively low-level henchman and sometimes he’s more C-suite level.
when helly started acting up again I was thinking they should just reset her innie the way they reset Gemma’s innie in each room but I guess the whole point of having her down there is to keep things stable for Mark to do his Neo shit on cold harbor so they have to put up with her. So now both Helly and Dylan G. are at the “let’s burn this place to the ground” stage. We see Dylan get in the elevator but we don’t see him emerge, I’m guessing he gets out of the elevator before going up early on in Ep 10.

This is where I come out. I rewatched again with my wife and more than any other episode this one doesn’t hold up to a ton of scrutiny.
I am definitely concerned they’re going to leave the Irv stuff unanswered/unresolved which would really bum me out, his is the story I most want to learn.
I kept thinking irv was going to get off the train before it left, I just don’t get why he would just give up and go along with this plan

Irv definitely knows a lot that we don’t know and haven’t been shown. He would definitely know that if he doesn’t leave Lumon will dispose of him.
Was Burt sent to kill Irv? According to him he’s just a driver, was he supposed to bring Irv somewhere to be killed? It is stated/implied that Lumon will now come after Burt for not doing what he was supposed to do with Irv.
I just hope Radar is OK.

This is one of the things that I’m most rustled by. This whole thing turns into a shitshow because of the OTC and they don’t explain why it was so important to activate. Dylan took a card that they send to people in the fucking mail and they couldn’t just wait until the next morning? Or even if it was that urgent, Milchick couldn’t just bring Dylan back to the severed floor and question him there that evening. That’s like 2hrs at most. Just tell outie Dylan it’s an emergency and his job depends on it. He’ll go. Send some Lumon peon to watch the kids and it’s done.

Anyone know what Jame meant at the end when he said Helly “tricked” him? I’m not even sure if we are supposed to know.

Me neither. So he is an enforcer for Lumon, but they allow him to be severed for 20 yrs (presumably at his request). How much enforcing can he do while severed? That is a full-time job, right? Or did he used to do the enforcing >20yrs ago and just request a transfer to severance?
No clue. As far as we know Helly doesn’t know who Jame is.
But I will say this: Jame appears to come up to the severance floor from the testing floor. And I kind of wonder if the Egan residence is connected physically. I would wonder if Helena has more than one severed personality, but we’ve seen her out in the wild so that wouldn’t add up.
Pretty sure Burt’s crimes are related to Wayne’s World 2
