That’s why she stays, but how did she fall in love with that dude in the first place?
I can’t figure it out either but I suspect lumon is involved somehow
How do innies know how to dance, or that music exists?
How do innies know how to dance, or that music exists?
They obviously didn’t explain that part of the science, which really isn’t important. They obviously keep a lot of general knowledge, they just don’t know about their own life.

Well sometimes they get MDEs, maybe they learn from those.

I kind of doubt they’re ever going to explain exactly what innies retain and what they don’t. IIRC when Irv’s innie get into the car during overtime he doesn’t seem to know what to do and kind of just figures it out, which doesn’t really make sense.
I find it easy to just swallow/dismiss whatever inconsistencies or contradictions exist on this issue.

Yeah, it’s really not important. It would be tedious and annoying if every sci-fi show or movie explained every little thing. The innies clearly retained general knowledge, but don’t remember their actual life and have the naivete of children. Their personalities are also kind of their pure versions of themselves, unshaped by life.
Some level of vagueness is part of the fun. Let the audience use their imaginations. Show, don’t tell, that sort of thing.

Who is Irving working with? The Hollywood Reporter looks at some of the candidates who have emerged across season two thus far.
I’m also not clear as to whether she accepted her “promotion” offer or if she’s done with lumon
I think that’s supposed to be ambiguous at this point
Helly / Helena: When we see Helly on the severed floor in episode one of season two, is that Helly or Helena? In episode two Helena seems totally transfixed by Helly’s kissing Mark. My gut interpretation is that Helena sees Helly experience something that Helena herself has not experienced. She seems very moved by this revelation. I do expect that it’s Helena who returns to the severed floor, perhaps on her own volition without the board’s sanction.
I’m not sure about this, I had considered it, particularly after the lie (that’s gotta come back to bite her at some point). I think we’ll find out for sure at some point, I’m more immediately curious if outie Helena regularly watches the videos of the severed floor or if her seeing the kiss with innie Mark was the first time she’s seen footage from down there.
Irv: Currently the #1 thing I want to see is the time between when Irv’s outie wakes up at Burt’s house and when Milchik arrives to fire him. Irv’s outie is clearly prepared to lie and knows that there is reason to lie, which means a conversation of some substance must have taken place with Burt. And then we see Burt watching Irv in the phonebooth. We assume that Irv was leaving a message for Burt, not sure who else it could be.
Right, his innie wrote “Burt Goodman” on the paper so he’d find it, I’m guessing he wrote more inside the paper (it looked folded up?)
Also, when outie Irv paints the elevator to the testing floor, do we even know if innie irv has seen it that hallway? Something implied that the “normal” severed employees were only vaguely aware of the testing floor and had no idea how to access it (I may be misremembering).
Dylan G: Why was a Dylan doppelganger interviewing Dylan at the door company? Was it just to emphasize that he was a lock for the job until severance came up, or is there more to it?
I kinda thought this was some sort of hallucination, dylan is probably interviewing everywhere he can (he’s got a baby, and at least one other kid), so he’s probably full of self doubt and replaying everything in his head? idk, that was a weird scene but I liked the door jokes.
one other thing I’m wondering about
Milchick tells Mark that it’s been 5 months in S2E1. That has to be baloney, right? Milchick tells Helena and the big guy that he got the backup team “in 48 hours”
just to be explicit here,
it seems pretty likely that whatever they did to gemma they did to irv as well? How else would he know about the hallway?

Yeah, I think episode two conclusively proved that was a lie.
is the big guy helena’s brother? or just a henchman? He looks … eganish? but he’s definitely below Helena on the org chart.
Some opinions:
Yeah, it definitiely hasn’t been 5 months, it’s been a few days.
Is it Helly or Helena down at the severed floor? It hadn’t occured to me that it could be Helena; I have three episodes left in my rewatch and I will pay attention to what I think is going on. My gut tells me it’s Helly, but that Helena is following the happenings from the outside.

IIRC, they said his name was Mr. Drummond, so I assume henchman.
Maybe he is “the board?” Otherwise I got nothing
I really hope this show isn’t like Lost where the writers really have no idea where they are going with this and try to figure it out on the fly only to discover there is no great way to tie everything up.
Seems unlikely as Lost was a cautionary tale, but I’ve got a slightly bad feeling about this.
