SARS-CoV-2: Electric Superflu

I haven’t paid for a haircut in at least 10 years and probably 15. All men should have a good clipper set even if they don’t plan on going the homecuts route imo.

Yep. It’s absolutely best when my wife buzzes my hair but I can mostly do a pretty good job myself.

Guess I should have put this in the meme thread, but we got breaking containment all up in this bitch.

NJ cases doubled in 24hrs to just under 300.

This is no bueno.

Is this Starbucks shit for real? I mean, really?

More athletes have tested positive. Haven’t seen any source on who the player is but reports now that multiple players on the team are showing symptoms.

Also this isn’t good.

Not to sound cavalier, but I’m 24 and more worried that I’ll break a bone or need stitches and an ER won’t have time for me because they’re dealing with a coronavirus patient

Not that I mind reading here. But there’s also a resource thread for parents during CV - where this might be useful.

Corporate coffee nurturing the spirit one person and one cup at a time. I guess we know where Mayo Pete’s writers found jobs.

A lot of that is probably because more and more testing is coming online. Not that it’s actually doubling every 2 days.

Also Eichenwald is a jackass.

The high growth rate is an artifact of teh testing clusterfuck. As we catch up with testing confirmation of cases will grow faster than teh virus spreads. This will last as long as we have to ration tests.

Yeah he’s a fuckin’ dunce.

Italy seems to have flatlined with new cases for the 4th day in a row. Unless there’s some other reason like they only have 4k tests per day or something.

Deaths have also flatlined for 3 days - lending support to my theory that deaths are lagging new cases by like a day. IE - people know how bad it is, so they don’t show up at the hospital until they’re at death’s door.

There will be long long chains of reactions.

I guess this is what convinced the UK to change their approach. Sorry if repost. It’s a good read. It pretty much lays out what we’re in for the next 18 months - cycles of lockdown and opening up to some activity.

I have no idea why the NFL thinks they’re going to have a season. Maybe with no fans. But it’s a contact sport.

Now is our chance?

LOL, why the fuck are they testing healthy athletes without symptoms “just to be sure” ?

90% of the normal person testing positive is “They traveled overseas…”

clue: they are only testing non athletes who have traveled overseas…

NBA testing may be the closest thing we have to sampling a population to estimate how many people are infected in the country.
