There are offices for software companies all over the US or you can work remote for one based in CA, defintely not a requirement to be in SF if you want to work in that field. My wife has been doing it for 7 years living in the midwest and when you factor in cost of living she probably makes more than just about anyone with her title that lives in SF
The Lancaster teen tested positive for covid-19, but the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is reportedly evaluating the case to see if there’s another explanation for his death. The initial cause of death was explained on Tuesday as septic shock from complications with covid-19. The teen’s father has tested positive for covid-19 as well. The teen’s death has been removed from the official U.S. death toll, according to Public Health Director Dr. Barbara Ferrer, who gave a press conference on March 25.
Good to know the CDC is on it to the point of making sure one case is removed from the official death toll. Working hard, thank you.
Countries with authoritarian leaders like China, Iran, and Russia have adopted a strategy of denying that some people have actually died from covid-19, even after they test positive for the disease. In Russia, for example a 79-year-old woman in Moscow recently died of the new coronavirus, but the Russian government said that while she may have tested positive, she actually died of pneumonia. Moscow saw a 37 percent surge of “pneumonia” cases in January over the previous year, according to ABC News.

From this can we confer whether the WH (aka CDC) has the final decision, state-wide, to confirm whether death was due to COVID-19 or otherwise? Or are the individual states still responsible for categorizing?

President Trump thinking about militarizing Canada border
Canada’s prime minister is urging US President Donald Trump not to militarize the border.
“Canada and the Americans share the longest unmilitarized border in the world, and it remains in our interest to continue it that way," Justin Trudeau said Friday during his daily press briefing.
He is remaining in self-isolation on the advice of doctors, since his wife was diagnosed with coronavirus. He would not say when he would end self-isolation, noting that all Canadians are being encouraged to work from home.
Media reports surfaced late Thursday evening that the US government was thinking of sending troops to its northern border.
In his Thursday briefing, Mr Trump said seemed unsure if there were troops on the Canada border already, or if they were coming.
The US president has said the US will send the military to guard the Mexico border.
“I guess it’s equal justice to a certain extent,” he said. “We have a lot of things coming in from Canada, we have trade, some illegal trade, that we don’t like.”

The US has better things that require population density: big museums, concerts, baseball, etc. Canada has better healthcare, gun laws, lack of religion, clean air, and manners.
The Spring Break recklessness is my only possible counter, and it’s pretty weak, really. Maybe heat’s not a big factor.
Toronto has decent museums, lots of concerts, and baseball. It’s not the MET, but the temporarily closed ROM is pretty good.

Canadians charged over Covid-19
An 18-year-old Canadian McDonald’s employee has been arrested for allegedly lying about having Covid-19 to get out of work.
Police in Hamilton, Ontario, charged the woman with fraud after she allegedly faked a doctor’s note saying she had coronavirus.
Investigators say that after she gave the note to her supervisor on 19 March, the restaurant had to close down for a few days to be professionally sanitised.
Her co-workers also had to self-isolate.
But she wasn’t the only person accused of using coronavirus to defraud people. On Wednesday Toronto police arrested a man for trying to bring 25 fake coronavirus test kits into the US.
They allege he had already shipped several parcels of fake test kits across the border.
Both suspects are expected to appear in court in May.
Deplorables aren’t going anywhere from Trump no matter what he does. My mother pretty much went into a rant about De Blasio and Cuomo are to blame because they didn’t have adequate emergency supplies after 9/11. Nevermind that Giuliani was the mayor then and the governor was (I think) Pataki who was a Republican governor. Also she went on about Democrats are trying to cram in bills thath fit their agenda about abortion, LBGT etc instead of helping the people.
