SARS-CoV-2: Electric Superflu

Any of our scientists want to have a crack at this data and explain to me if there might be anything about more dangerous versus less dangerous strains?

Fears of global condom shortage amid coronavirus

There are fears about the long-term implications of a global condom shortage after the world’s largest manufacturer was forced to stop production due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Karex Berhad’s three factories in Malaysia have been shut for 10 days already, meaning there are already 100 million fewer condoms, the company’s chief executive Goh Miah Kiat told news agency Reuters.

Really? I’d be like okay, so you’re staking your career on whether you can pull this off. Glgl.

…goddamnit, he’s done it again.

Speaking from personal experience, pain killers do nothing for the sensation of suffocating and being unable to breath.

I’m sorry, but that a better option than just letting it pass as valid argument.

I was seeing a girl who’s ex husband is in Thailand and they were doing temperature checks everywhere china style and were super cautious. According to him anyways

I have a box from before my vasectomy if anyone needs

UK coronavirus deaths rise to 759

The number of coronavirus deaths in the UK has risen from 578 to 759, according to the Department of Health. This is the biggest rise in deaths that the country has seen so far.

14,579 have now tested positive for the disease, including UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

I returned to Rhode Island from Colombia on the 15th. Developed temperature and flulike symptoms the 22nd. Continue to have symptoms although I do feel as if I am getting better.

I just called the state about the possibility of getting a test. I was not asked anything about my personal situation. Just told that unless I was in one of the following three categories I would not be tested.

  1. Healthcare Worker
  2. Hospitalized
  3. Live in a Nursing Home

Tests for anyone who needs one!

India ‘super spreader’ quarantines 40,000 people

Authorities in India have quarantined around 40,000 residents following a coronavirus outbreak linked to one person in Punjab.

The 70-year-old man died from COVID-19.

He had ignored advice to self-quarantine after a trip to Italy and Germany, officials told the BBC’s Punjabi service.

Upon returning to India, he attended an event to celebrate the holy festival of Hola Mohalla. It attracts around 10,000 people every day.

A week after his death, 19 relatives tested positive for coronavirus.

Police have sealed 20 villages near the area where the man stayed to prevent the virus from spreading.

For a little while there it looked like Desantis might actually be a competent enough leader to enact sane policies and get us through this butnahhhhh he’s proving himself to be just another useless moron Trump toady. We might as well have Matt fucking Gaetz as our governor. Even Rick Scott was calling for a shutdown last week. How can this guy be worse than Rick Scott??

Eek yep. Been sweating my own health insurance for the last few waiting to see if my self employment docs would verify my income for continued subsidies, otherwise my merely okay plan would be unaffordable. Never had an issue in the past, but still a hell of a time to cross my fingers.

Two reasons:

  1. He often goes to a friendly (Fox, etc) reporter when he needs to in order to get a softball.

  2. There are so many urgent topics that some reporters likely want to get a specific question in and not follow up and get into an argument with the POTUS that will end with some bullshit you’re nasty you’re the enemy rant and not actual facts.

Don’t worry you can always get on Obamacare

I mean, these are doctors in liberal cities, they’re not in on it. They’re trying to reduce pain and suffering in patients who they know are going to die alone, possibly in a hallway, while drowning in their own blood.

That’s what I have homie. Plans and subsidies for self employed folks in the 20-50k range are Not Bad. Not as good as when I was on Medicaid, which I was fortunate enough to have during a catastrophic medical emergency a while back, but such is life when living in places that refuse to accept federal funding for expanded access.
