Astrologers and Wharton MBAs get more respect on the topic that the scientists and doctors have spent their careers studying.

Can someone give me the cliffs on this malaria drug bs? Seems the right wing griftosphere is all in on it.

These are two of the best experts I’ve read.

Anyone have others? I don’t have the attention span for youtubes mostly. Although I have watched the main ones that keep circulating.

Limited trials in other countries have indicated it might help lessen the severity and length of infection. Some it might be preventive. New York is about to start some limited trials.

Several states have limited how much and how often it can be prescribed because President dumb dumb acted like it was a cure and vaccine rolled into one.

There were a couple studies showing that it helps, but the studies have obvious flaws.

Impossible burgers are delicious if cooked right. Fashion ‘em into patties, lightly season with garlic powder and onion powder and you’re good to go. Unfortunately frozen impossible beef was like the first thing to get stripped bare at my supermarket.

I tried an Impossible Whopper and it was really good. I could tell the difference, but I don’t think I would have if I didn’t know it was fake meat. It was very slight.

There’s a huge difference between Impossible beef (as well as Beyond beef, but I’ve never tried it) and the typical veggie meat shit.

Yes, that’s true. The typical veggie crap is awful. I gave up eating red meat a year ago and impossible beef has definitely filled the gap.

There is some very thin evidence that it might be hopeful. Far far from proven. And there aren’t supplies of those drugs anyway. But someone showed trump an article about it and he won’t shut up, and then the NY Post published a completely irresponsible article based on 1 anecdote where a patient says it saved his life. Rich guy, obviously. Don’t worry there won’t be any supplies for us normal folk, if it does pan out.

Years ago, I got on a health kick and ate veggie/black bean burgers. Some of them are fine, especially if you dress them up, but they don’t taste anything like meat.

I had the IW several weeks ago and it wasn’t great. Meat had a green tint, didn’t taste great. I don’t ever eat at BK so maybe their regular Whopper tastes comparably bad.

They had to limit scripts for them because doctors were raiding all the pharmacies and hoarding it for themselves and their families.

Yeah there’s a restaurant called Veggie Grill in LA that’s consistently delicious. I don’t think it’s any healthier than meat - but at least it doesn’t taste like cardboard. I feel like the stuff in the grocery store must be made by the meat industry and deliberately be that terrible.

I enjoyed that brief moment in time when at least one major western country was dumber than the US. Oh well.

A hospital pharmacists told me doctors trying to hoard the entire hospital pharmacy’s stash is all over their pharmacy forums. Mostly they’re being told to get bent because it’s needed for lupus patients.

Does Greece count?

It’s going to get really bad in a lot of places soon. We just don’t know where because NY is testing like crazy compared to anywhere else in the US.
