Youâre doing great lately. The new goal is almost being met and youâre average is way lower than before you lowered it. Keep it up. Sorry that JT is pulling further and further away in terms of likes, but themâs the breaks.
Hi Rexx, howâs the garden doing? I ask because:
- I garden for a living, and
- Itâs really good exercise and I presume something you really enjoy?
If you can manage 30-60 minutes 3-5 times a week I reckon itâll really help with the weight loss. Or does work make this impossible?
I really admire your commitment to the macro-tracking btw, itâs something I find really hard to do.
Recently whatâs worked for me (78kg to 72kg in 10 weeks) was intermitent fasting, itâs suited my lifestyle/personality really well. I started on a 16/8 schedule by skipping breakfast, only drinking water/unsweetend green tea during fasting and eating pretty clean/healthily during the eating window.
After 3-4 days the hunger pangs stopped and my energy levels improved dramatically. At 2-3 weeks 18/6 and 20/4 were quite easy. I pretty much eat what I want when on these longer fasts, plenty of treats.
Unsolicited advice I know, but maybe something to consider trying for a month or two to see how it suits you.
Omg my garden! The shame!! I have been totally remiss since winter arrived. All I have in atm is herbs, cabbage, lettuce, garlic. It has been cold and wet and miserable but thatâs still no excuse. There are a few things I can put in at this time of year so Iâll get myself into gear and get activated. I do agree gardening is great exercise and would definitely burn up some calories as well as being productive and therapeutic.
I have thought about the intermittent fasting. So you donât track calories whilst doing it?
No, I didnât track calories. I am/was skinny-fat so just cleaned up my diet a bit and stuck to my eating windows faithfully. Plataeu during the last 2-3 weeks so went clean fast (no stevia in tea/coffee, no diet-soda basically) and mixed in a couple of 24h fasts and boom: goal weight achieved.
I highly recommend giving it a shot for 3-4 weeks.
Yeah, weâre entering winter here too. Planting brĂłcoli, cabbage, coliflower, garlic, onions, peas, broad beans and plenty of greens. Itâs a struggle when the cold wind is cutting through ya, but at the least the bugs have buggered off! I also find it therapeutic.
