There’s a reason why Johnny is my fave and seities is climbing the rankings!
You can have a like for that one!
The LC thread was quite interesting talking about what you thought of rich as a kid. My family background is my mum was a teacher aand my dad was a civil servant but they gave it up to start a small business which was quite successful but their marriage also broke up within a couple of years. So we went from having money to not having any and if I needed anything extra I had to ring my dad from the phone box as we had no phone. I hated that feeling and it’s contributed to how I approach life.
We also moved in with my grandparents and my mum couldn’t return to teaching as she had chronic health problems which resulted in her producing copious kidney stones and ultimately losing her left kidney. It was Whitlam’s reforms which enabled my mum to leave my violent father as she received government support to bring up us kids. Even though I guess we were poor my mum never really had that mindset and that has rubbed off on me. My mum was incredibly well spoken, well read and looked immaculate when out and about.
My income has currently dried up due to coronavirus and we are surviving on just my bfs but I still don’t feel poor. I have a house, a car, air conditioning/heating and avocados. I may have to plant more stuff in my garden and be a bit more frugal with spending but I still don’t feel poor. I’m incredibly lucky to be born Australian.
I just hand out likes to everyone, I don’t even give a fuck. You all deserve them anyway.
Spending some of my formative years as a grad student / post doc and not having much money was a great experience for me. I’m wildly frugal and very comfortable living withing my means.
Bring back the 60s and 70s, freelove for everyone let the liking begin!
I’m really struggling to keep my calories down. I forgot how hungry these antidepressants make me. I do feel much better on them overall but the extreme hunger is difficult to manage.
do you have any foods you enjoy that are high in fiber? Oats/veg etc?
I like oats and I like vegetables, I can’t actually think of a vegetable that I don’t like. I haven’t been eating oats for breakfast anymore because they tend to make me super hungry within a couple of hours of eating them.
Don’t be too discouraged, the fact that you are still keeping track even thru the rough patches is amazing!
Thank you so much. I had someone close to me attempt suicide recently and I have been extremely worried about them. I almost stopped logging but I do really want to lose this weight so I battled on.
121.8 minus 0.8 kg. That’s a win.
Great job, Balboa!
I haven’t been doing so great.
