What do you think are some of the best uses of samples in hip hop? I think Keep Forgettin’ in Regulate is perfect. It sounds like the sample was tailored precisely to the track when the truth is the other way around.

I don’t think I understand the assignment very well, but what about Dr. Dre and Snoop sampling P-Funk?
I love that Snoop song, but he basically bit the chorus from P Funk. So I take a couple points off sample-wise.
Like to give another example along those lines, I think Gangsta’s Paradise is great, but it does more than sample Stevie Wonder, it basically takes the whole structure of the song from Pastime Paradise.
OK hear me out, the song sucks, but the sample is choice.
