It’s a case study in denial. Not one person who said Harris won the debate was convinced enough to not vote for Trump. And they ALL were willing to criticize Harris on substance while blindly giving Trump a pass

I mean there’s only so much hopium to mine from it. It’s a clear and meaningful but not earth-shaking positive moment in the campaign. It felt like Harris had slipped into a full-on tossup race and has now regained her footing as a mild favorite. It’s a good thing; it just shouldn’t be seen as more than it is.
Before the debate on Tuesday, Harris had odds of winning in November of 1/1 (50 percent), according to Bet 365, Sky Bet and Paddy Power. As of 8 a.m. ET on Wednesday, her odds had improved to 4/5 (55.6 percent) with Bet 365 and Sky Bet, along with 5/6 (54.5 percent) with Paddy Power.
