Have definitely bought bitcoin at $10ish in order to buy certain powders and other pharmaceuticals with and thinking ‘what a joke this cryptocurrency concept is and I bet its worth nothing in 6 months’

Yeah there was a bit of a scandal as she had a party for her birthday her and her mom threw.

I could have bought a massive amount of bitcoin when it was essentially zero. However I didn’t.
When it got to the tens of thousands I had remorse. I had to remind myself there would have been no world where I would have kept them past $100.
I mean this is the exact same story of every poster here.

I’m the only one who kept playing poker after black friday? I’m guessing that was the defining difference. People who had bitcoin long term, not necessarily a scrooge mcduck vault but a little something, just happened to be in a space that was using it.

Right, and I don’t even mean luckboxing fortunes, just general exposure. Like, there was awhile where all the US sites would take forever to mail checks so people were almost forced to try out this new-fangled bitcoin whatchamacallit.
What I find the most fascinating about cryptocurrency is that a decent amount people who’ve made money, either in total or just like buying a single bitcoin and watching the price 15x in a short timeframe, have gotten really unnerved by the whole concept. They imagined themselves as self-serving libertarian types but were hit with a sense that everything is wrong with society and wealth and power…

Normally I’d assume that in person voters on E-Day skewing way older would mean lower turnout among that cohort is good for Democrats.
After the Trump Campaign’s messaging seems to have been “Just let the old people die” I’m not sure that holds for 2020.
