POTUS BOWL 2020: A MEME IS A WISH YOUR <3 MAKES

The way he talks out of the side of his mouth makes him look like a stereotypical mob guy.

Hopefully this is because people have actually left the Republican party. Still not great news.

hard to parse this in a vacuum. I know a LOT of people who have switched their registration this year, so if they only polled registered Rs, then they aren’t capturing the switchers.

Republicans are down a bit in the last survey, but the changes are small and have gone back and forth during Trump.

Otoh, Democratic strength by state is up pretty strongly since 2016.

It’s so hard to gain too much useful info or make a good prediction on the election from countrywide polling with our stupid electoral college

I mean, a President who doesn’t at least hold out the possibility that he’s running again is a lame duck who’s losing the ability to push legislation through congress. He’ll be 83 in 4 years. Just because he says he’s open to the possibility of it doesn’t make it so.

The New Yorker has a podcast out to accompany the below Biden profile that is really good, and reassuring. He is fully aware what’s coming and seems to have no illusions about what the GOP has become and what they’re willing to resort to.

Democratic Voters to Hillary: If you have advice for Joe, pick up the god damn phone. Keep your name out of the press for fuck’s sake this is not that fucking difficult.

This is going to feed a “Hillary is going to help Joe cheat when he loses and won’t concede,” narrative on the right.

On one hand its hard to imagine more Republicans voting for Hillary than Joe, so it makes you think they switched.

On the other hand Trump has given Republicans everything they’ve wanted, mostly due to Mitch. Massive amounts of judges, two SC seats, a 3rd if he wins again, tax cuts etc. So I could see the ones who don’t like Trump pulling the lever.

Not too worried about this though, that small % of Republican changes doesn’t mean shit, what matters are the independents and they’re swinging hard for Biden.

Plenty of reasons to be mad at Hillary, but not this. This is very good, very necessary advice that nobody else seems to be giving. Publicly, Nancy Pelosi has stated the opposite, of course Biden will concede.

Maybe Joe’s advisers are saying the right thing privately, but it’s good that somebody is saying this publicly. It signals to the base that maybe this one time, the Democratic party won’t just roll over and die as the GOP steals another election, that their organizing and votes might actually matter a bit.

It’s not so great that she’s saying it publicly. Also if Biden’s team hasn’t given him that advice then we are fucked. Also I really hope Biden has a team of lawyers already preparing for the eventual court battles that trumps team will bring forward in the close swing states

If level of preparedness is what this hinges on I’m sure we’re going to be fine. Trump absolutely won’t be in any way prepared and will be spitballing at the last second. The guy believes that preparing for things makes them happen on a deep level.
