Recall any details? I have a Mexican friend (acquaintance? I’m reassessing…) who is all in against Trump on COVID but I fear is sadly going to pull the lever because he believes securing his 2A freedoms Trumps everything else.

Since a lot of Mexicans work in the restaurant industry, they probably loved those $600/week Donny Dollars. Plus the $1200 stimulus check. They probably believe the GOP blaming Dems for not passing more stimulus money.

People focus on abortion but gun rights people are probably bigger single issue voters than abortion.
Republicans have done a great job scaring people into thinking dems are legit going to knock down their door and take their guns.

Agreed. There are too many Dems that love their guns more than Republicans, they just don’t express their love with the most unhinged possible expression lol.
Wrong Mexicans. The Mexicans voting for Trump in Texas probably don’t even speak Spanish.
Mexican-Americans are as culturally white as Irish-Americans and Italian-Americans. Their food, which is pretty distinct from actual Mexican cuisine, is the only thing that differentiates them from white people.

the cuban thing was spreading socialism fears via whatsapp, but it spilled into other spanish communities. i don’t know how they target the mexican diaspora.

A couple weeks ago I was taking to my buddy that is conservative but doesn’t like Trump. He was flabbergasted at how hard it would be to overturn the 2A. I knew it had to pass both the House and Senate by 2/3 but I had forgotten even after that, it needs to pass 3/4 by the states.
Dems are so bad at messaging. They should hammer that point home every time a conservative says liberals are coming to take your guns. They really think a liberal POTUS can just demand your gun be taken.
