There’s a bridge in this photo in the fog. You can see it if you zoom in.

Brag: in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Beat: have to get a deep nasal Covid test to be allowed back into the USA

Variance?: hopefully I’ll be drunk for the cranial violation

This is the strangest Douglas Fir that I’ve ever seen. 850 years old.

Breakroom lake from June on back to back days with storms rolling in. It’s rained almost every day for the past month.

Starting to get too hot to walk down there, don’t care.

Top half of the first one immediately reminded me of van Goghs cypresses.

Me shooting a revolutionary war musket today. Uses black powder, lead ball and flintlock. Photo caught right at ignition of the powder.

It’s such a fun mind fuck when a person you’ve interacted with online for years ends up looking literally nothing like the image you had in your head of them. That’s a really cool shot (pun maybe intended), and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t care for anything gun related too much.

Gives a nice lead in, the timing of it, for this photo from a few days ago that I held on to as images weren’t posting properly then. It’s not a photo of where I am but where 3 siblings (not mine) were so sort of fits the thread.

Where they were = sheltering under a tree in a thumder storm.

All three recovered in hospital.

Hehe. I’m not a gun person either. The fun here was the history. Pretty neat learning about the old technology.

Not here atm, but here’s one of the Denali photos I took back in January from a plane we hired:

Denali is the peak on the right. I don’t know the name of the peak on the left, but I’d really like to know if anyone has a clue, because I got a photo of it that might be my favorite of the trip.

Pretty sure that’s not you. You’re thin with glasses, a corduroy jacket with elbow patches and a pipe, not a big ole gun totin cowboy.

(Not calling you fat btw)
