the higher the better :) Nice views is what its all about! :)
The back yard. We got our first dusting of snow this year, today. Iām still learning how to work a coal stove for heating.
Are you doing all the stone-fitting (or whatever itās called)? Cause it looks great to me.
Nice work! I hope the client is stoked about it too.
Random question: did you do any training or apprenticeship kind of thing to learn how to do that or did you just figure it out?
Just picked up some rocks one day and started stacking them. There are some tricks like how to make cuts with a wet saw that donāt look like saw cuts, but for the most part itās just a matter of spending hours jamming rocks together to find pieces that fit.
That looks great! Please tell me that turning the little heart a certain way causes the whole thing to swing open, revealing a hidden room. Cause that would be pretty cool.
They wouldnāt have packed out your body? Bastards!
Nothing especially noteworthy, and not exactly a picture of where I am, but rather what I found:
Was on my daily walk around the neighborhood when I spotted that on the ground. English 50 pence piece. Canāt really spend it obviously, so it will go in my coin bowl, where I have a few of the older large 50p pieces to go with it.
If youāre into this kind of thing, thereās some interesting trivia about the coin here:

So 50 pence just as worthless as 1 VP Pence.
Please say you live in likeā¦ Tokyo.
Close (for some value of close): Seattle, WA.
I had agreed to meet a friend to hike @ 7 am, but when I walked outside I realized it was snowing. Iām usually pretty reluctant to get out in any kind of inclement weather but this winter Iām trying to get past that and spend a lot more time outdoors.
Bit it twice, but the walk was amazing. The rim and gorge trails at Taghannock Falls State Park are pretty awesome, nice elevation change, maybe 3-4 miles, and virtually no people when thereās more than a flurry. Good start to the day.
What a beautiful spot
Iād never heard of it before, didnāt realize it was by the Finger Lakes. Man, years ago I was dating a girl who was working up in Geneva one summer and when I visited her we went to Watkins Glenn. That was pretty, but I didnāt do any more exploring. I wish I had, now.
Thatās basically where I liveāthat area between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes. Geveca, Watkins, Ithaca, Seneca Falls, Trumansburg. ā¦ The region is really amazing and I feel grateful to have landed here. Summers are an insane kind of perfection.
Ithaca is gorges, after all. Hehehe. Ok, Iāll see myself outā¦
Sick.
