On ABC they were talking about the rubber bullets and said that they are designed to be shot at the ground to then bounce up off the pavement and hit people in the legs.
Would love to find the moron that thought cops are responsible enough to do that and bounce him off the pavement
Indianapolis is supposed to be great. I’ve been to Milwaukee twice and liked it a lot, think I would have been happy to do my residency there. Also I do find the people there to be genuinely nice, unlike the South where people are barely even fake nice.
Maybe it’s partly a paternalizing sexism that this is so infuriating, maybe it’s that I have two daughters around the same age as these girls, but it’s pretty damn infuriating.
I lived there for a while and I actually like it. It’s fine, but definitely nothing special. Maybe great for a midwestern city. I’ll give you that.
Cost of living helps, but at the end of the day, you’re still in Indy – which isn’t terrible. It just is what it is. I’d say of cities I’d like to live in in the US, it’s somewhere around #20. So, I definitely think one could do a lot worse.
I don’t think its particularly sexist to acknowledge that men generally have a greater potential for retaliatory violence. So when cops assault women in a crowd it should be more infuriating because its inherently cowardly to target those that are less likely to be able to hurt you in response.
