Police Murder George Floyd Then Riot Nationwide (Links to Streams in OP)

Safety >>>infinity>>> optics. Don’t go.

Proly too late for today, but consider this: it’s SOP to have somebody safe and off-site standing by as a contact and resource in case of arrests. Find your affinity group.

I thought Jesus Camp was out there but this is another level.

How do we kick ass in the election when all of the choices are bought and paid for stooges, racist scum or both?

I dont think I’ve seen this anywhere in this thread

I’ve watched too many cop shows but this is starting to feel like we are going to find out this was a targeted murder, Training Day style.

Remove tins foil hat.

If you have never seen it this would be a good time to watch the greatest film ever made on race relations.

Made for the film, this song should be ringing out through the streets.

Anecdotally the amount of people in my circles (most of whom live in red states) are almost unanimously on the side of the protesters. Maybe that is because I purged people both IRL and on social media for coronavirus denialism over the past three months I don’t know. But I am talking about people I have NEVER seen post politics.

I was naive enough to think Bernie could lead us to a better place. I was naive enough to think some of you guys talking about revolution or the system totally breaking down was ridiculous. But now I see the truth. A LOT of people are totally fed up. A LOT of people realize now our political system is not going to save us or ever make anything better. And this realistically is the only chance at meaningful change even though it is still a huge longshot. It’s sad that we are at the point of nationwide skirmishes with police. But it is hopeful in a way because we need widespread understanding of just how broken this country is. An event like this has to bring that into focus for a lot of people on the fence.

If there are protests happening where I live I am going. I am actually proud of part of this country for the first time in a long time. That there are a lot of people willing to risk their lives for what we all know here is right. And that there is widespread support amongst the non-MAGA wing of the country.

I’m seeing some of this too, here and there. Maybe it’s the sheer volume of powerful yet contradictory thoughts and feelings people are have are finally starting to break their brains? :man_shrugging:

Wow. Just saw that bail for the murdering cop was set at 500k??? So this guy is basically a lock to be walking free leading up to his trial right? That is an extremely low bail for what happened and if I was the judge I would have held him without bail.

He will walk for sure. Needs only $50k.

My guess is he shows up at his place in Florida and they have a parade for him when he arrives.
