If you’re going to go that route, I’d recommend starting soon If you think the shit is going to hit the fan. I’d imagine that window would close pretty quick if things do get bad.

To be clear, I think it is possible to have different interpretations on what the rule of law dictates, but I think the general officers disagree with the Trump administration on where lines are drawn.
I’d trust the military more than police but putting any faith in them to remove Donnie if he says he won’t go…idk.

I think someone posted a picture here of Ammon Bundy being rolled out in a chair when he refused to leave some place. I hope that’s the picture we get of Trump if he refuses to leave.

Perhaps a sign of the times, gun stores near me are already completely sold out of 9mm ammo and some popular gun models. I agree that one shouldn’t wait if one wants one.
When Obama was elected, I remember my brother who likes to hunt complaining about how hard it was to find ammo. Then it was mostly gun nuts afraid the black guy would take away their pacifiers. Now it seems people on both sides are buying.

Yeah I wonder if this will make any difference whatsoever in any of the states we care about. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of state laws would require that they shut down another polling place when using the arena as one, or even limit it to the same # of machines etc.
When I heard the players were leaning on the owners for support, I thought it would be like “hey you’re all billionaires, start backing candidates who want real change and also help push Biden over the line in 3 months”. Instead it’s gonna be dumb ceremonial shit like this.

My wife just told me that while I was out of the house, she overheard our 11-year-old playing games online with a friend and a friend of that friend. Apparently, my son asked them if they heard about Jacob Blake (I didn’t show him the video, but told him about what happened in the context of the Bucks walking out). He mentioned how crazy it was about the NBA players.
My wife couldn’t make out everything that was said, but from what she gathered, the kid he didn’t know said something at least somewhat racist. My son responded, “That’s not a very nice thing to say.”
The other kid said Blake probably deserved it. To that, my boy said, “Why did he deserve it? How do you know what happened? Do you have proof that he deserved it?”

He also told me earlier today that he thinks his friend might have a little racism in him, as he’s said some things that are a little questionable. My son said he blames the kid’s parents, though. Then he wondered if he would have the sense to know what’s right if my wife and I were rabid Trump fans. I proceeded to tell him about Claudia Conway.

The one protest in my life I helped with organizing, the cops told us we would be charged a few hundred bucks for police overtime. Because only a dozen people showed up, they decided afterward not to charge us.
