Has this “civil war buff” not had the shit doxxed out of him yet?

I was walking by the Central Park NYPD precinct today and saw bumper stickers on a lot of cop cars that I’ve noticed before:

Got me thinking someone should start a 1-800-BAD-COPS number and website that offers $10,000 for arrest and conviction of any cop that assaults a civilian.

Holy shit. Just saw the video of the dude shot by the cops in Atlanta. Obviously he should have just taken the DUI but what the fuck. He was running away. DUI’s are death penalty crimes now?

Like what the fucking fuck. He’s literally running away from you in a damn Wendy’s parking lot. Pussy ass cops shooting him from like 10 yards away.

Nice idea, but $10K won’t even cover their legal fees, so…

Grandson of Jim Clyburn started this petition. Sound idea. I’m sure the petition will go nowhere, but getting the idea out there is a start.

How good are we running that nobody has shot up a protest yet?

Police think every time they transact with anyone it is going to end up in a butch and Sundance shoot out. They proceed accordingly.

I have a MASSIVE issue with people who drive drunk. I don’t think the penalties, especially for early offense are severe enough. That being said murder is not on the table.

Police talk about switching into deescalation mode during an interaction. Why are they not always starting in deescalation? It does not make any sense.

Who is that guy endangering at the point he tries to run away. They have his car, they likely have identified him by that point. So what is the worst likely thing that would happen? And I would be fine with them charging him with resisting arrest because he ran away, when they finally arrest him.

Police seem to begin EVERY encounter with “Be ready to shoot to kill” and then every few moments ask themselves, “should I shoot now?” , “how about now.”

The police probably should not have shot him, but this guy committed multiple felonies and

controls

Agree whole heartedly with your first paragraph. There’s 0 reason to drive drunk. I’ve gotten physical with friends that I thought were too banged up to drive before.

In regards to your second paragraph, there is a full body cam video released that the initial cop was actually super reasonable. The cop asked multiple times for him to wake up. He even allowed him to drive his car to a parking space out of the drive thru line. I was actually pretty impressed by that interaction.

But once the drive resists, steals the taser, and runs away there is no reason whatsoever to shoot him dead. The dude was passing out in his car 20 minutes earlier. In another 20 minutes the dude was gonna be passed out drunk again. Zero threat to anyone. Just so sick.

More case law on point. Per Curiam. This is all pretty well settled law.

You would be one of the douchebag cops or prosecutors who would try to charge him with all that shit as separate charges too. You have to be trolling to air this in public.

Uh, he’s dead. So, no, I wouldn’t be charging him with any crimes.

But to the point: this guy is unquestionably in a different position than Floyd. Floyd was murdered. This guy was killed. It’s sad and not fair, but I would be astonished if the officer is charged.

Repubes who have whined for decades about how hard it is to “get rid of bad teachers” refuse to compromise on measures aimed at getting rid of bad cops, it appears.
