Probably be my divide with any movement, as well.
I actually responded to one of the mods there letting them know if they want any chance of their movement growing they need to allow humor and especially self deprecating humor.
I know they unbanned the guy and are laughing at fox so we will see. But yeah pretty lame of them.

Here is an analysis video of a police interaction someone posted on 22.
It is maddening because the police make every single encounter into them vs perp. Does not matter the circumstances.
If they instead went around trying to help people and not accusing everyone of crimes the interactions would go much differently.
I realize that the danger in their jobs is 85% self inflicted.
No reason he could not said hello to this guy, chatted for a moment and moved along.
It feels like every time the police approach anyone they are trying to entrap them in a crime. Resisting should be chargeable unless a reasonableness to investigate a real crime exists. Just badgering people until you provoke them is crazy.

On a wall in the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, three prominently posted demands are to defund the police, fund community health, and drop charges against protesters. Other demands included prison abolition, the expungement of records for marijuanaoffenders, and suffrage for prisoners.

We live in a town of ~35,000 and there were probably 1k at the protest. There were rumblings of possible right-wing aggression after some open-carry antagonizers the previous week, but nothing serious manifested while I was there. Two cops parked ~2 blocks away and gave thumbs up to many of us, without ever getting out of their cars or posing any sort of intimidating presence. We are fortunate to live in a small town with police who reside here and know many of us personally; I recognize that this isn’t the norm.
The protest itself was entirely peaceful and supportive, with close to 100% mask compliance. For almost the entire protest there were huge lines of cars honking in support, except for 8:46 of kneeling during which the honking stopped immediately and stayed silent throughout. It was an eerily beautiful moment of feeling like everyone was united to the same purpose without having to communicate about it.
