I’m sure all these name change debates and being able to wear a BLM shirt at your low wage service industry job are good things to have, and the Peoples’ Several Temporary Free Blocks of Seattle™ is nice. Not sure any of it really gets to the heart of systemic, violent racial oppression by law enforcement though.

Some incremental reforms passed in New York today. Cuomo also did an executive order to withhold state funding from local police departments in cities that don’t enact further reforms.

The media never cares about peaceful protests, and the top story is back to Covid. The larger issue of police violence and systemic racism is still being covered below the fold, but no1curr about specific protest actions anymore.
