Meh there have been polls posted ITT where only 40% of active duty military support Trump. That’s less than the general population. I don’t think its good to demonize them. Only a small percentage joined up to kill brown people, most were just young and dumb and fell for the propaganda or were desperate.
Compared to the police where the last poll I saw said 86% of police officers support Trump.
The two groups are very different.
The NG also does a ton of good shit helping cities when there is a disaster. Hurricane relief and stuff.

Hyde Park is an island of 100-year-old really fancy houses surrounded by pretty bad neighborhood on all sides. I think like 20 years ago you could get a legit mansion for under $100k. Imo you have some leverage in what he said at the end. Suggest more possible ways to solve these problems and point out that it’s in all our interests to fix these problems. You can definitely tweek him for on the one hand noting the effects of slavery but then absolving the rest of society from responsibility.
So I did some digging and this chart is misleading because Ohio largely funds schools by the state level. $11 billion dispersed statewide for education. Columbus is about 7.5% of the states population, if that money is dispersed evenly (no idea if this is a fair assumption) then that’s like $850mill from the state for education, easily dwarfing the police number.

My Goddaughter is being pushed into the military by her single mother. When I was in Wichita last weekend my wife and I had dinner with her and gently tried to talk her out of it. She sees it as her way out though. A way out of a bad family situation and working fast food making almost no money. Her dad, who is now in prison for having sex with a minor as well as molesting her, was in the Army.
I’m having a hard time painting her as being a monster for wanting to go even though I have been trying to talk her out of it. My wife and I have told her she can come live with us rent free through college or whatever else she wants to do to try and encourage her to see that isn’t her only way out.
So basically I see both sides. Military service is far from honorable especially now but the people enlisting are not the enemy by and large. The system and the much older career military types who recruit down and out kids are the enemy and evil.
What a world we live in when people find it normal that civilians run/stay around with assault rifles.
When the states spend so much money on the police why are cops always pictured as being underpaid in tv.
This is where I am. I don’t think it does any good to tell them to fuck off, your approach seems more productive. But I totally get wanting to tell them to fuck off.
