Woke up this morning to notification from ex gf. She sent an 18 minute video of Candace Owens without comment. I don’t know Owens so I looked at her wiki and she is some kind of conservative commentator who is into Soros BS. Anything else I should know before I torture myself by watching this video?
Ex used to work for police depts but I was not expecting this. She’d been reluctant to talk about this topic before. Already planning to respond with that tweet compiling police violence videos.
I feel like they also had some fictional and non fictional stories of members who were wanted for actions they took in the 60s and 70s who were later caught in the 80s and 90s.
The Company You Keep was a 2012 movie with Susan Sarandon, Robert Redford, Shia Lebeuf.
I have vague recollection of real stories though that much have happened along similar lines.
The thing I hate most about Candace Owens is that I always give her a bit more attention than she deserves in that brief moment between seeing an attractive woman and then realizing it’s Candace Owens.
Ha, I’m sure this is good advice but I’m not very bright when it comes to women. I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t think there was a chance of shifting her opinion a little.
To be fair I had some white liberals post the Owens thing having zero idea who she was, and they were kinda posting it as well here is a person of color so we should listen to her points kinda. Then people pointed out who Owens really was and they were like Oh ok yeah fuck her.
But yeah the ex being involved with PD before and leaving no comment is definitely a bad sign.
Whoa I thought they were just suspended, hadn’t heard they were being charged.
Honestly these protests are making way more progress than I expected. Especially in the beginning when it looked like most dems cared about looting/riots. My hope is building again.
Then just tell her you are massively offended that she thinks so little of you that the idiotic racist rantings of Candace Owens would be something you would be interested in other than to mock or make fun of? Then apologize to her and ask her if she sent it to you because she too thought it was absurd and thought you would get a kick out of making fun of it.
Sending someone a Candace Owens video without consent is criminal assault in 39% of jurisdictions in this country.
Same. A whole bunch of people realized Twitter was merely their training ground after all. They have taken to the streets with righteous outrage. I am cautiously optimistic that keyboard warriors have discovered how fulfilling it can be when a person is willing and able to take meaningful action beyond tots, prayers, and retweets.
