i thought White Democrats would be more afraid of police. They want to abolish police at a higher rate than black folks.

It’s not true. I had a side gig from 1993-1998 that had me out in the middle of the night doing obviously not legal, but not destructive things in DT Seattle. I had tons of interactions with cops and knew then that I’d have been arrested or worse if I was not white and non-threatening. I don’t know how people of color experience their interactions with the police, but I never felt unsafe. The worst I was going to get was a cease and desist order.
