This is truly an understatement. Honestly I am surprised things are not already much worse than they are and I am legit worried that they will get much much worse. Cocaine had made it clear he’s not going to let anything pass that actually helps anyone. And even the supposed liberal good guys like Cuomo and Deblasio are out there on TV denying observable reality when it comes to police brutality and I mean they’re brutalizing peaceful protesters! People who are protesting police brutality are being beaten and gassed!!
As terrifying as it is to see DC under military occupation, it is completely understandable. Hell it would be nuts NOT to do it.
We are having a unity celebration/protest today in a local park. Based on a few bottles being thrown last weekend, the national guard is surrounding the city hall and police stations (both a few miles away at least) with armored vehicles and our neighboring city is sending in the guard to protect their city hall also “based on a threat”. The local paper decided the courts/crime section was the best section to put an article on the celebration.

3000 strong protest in Helsinki on Wednesday. Pretty good social distancing and a lot of masks. Dropped by while walking my doge and unfortunately he got a cut in his paw even though I was very careful. Thankfully police patrol dropped us to vet so he’s all good now.
Trump shares letter calling peaceful protesters terrorists
The president has tweeted a copy of a letter that appears to have been written by one of his former attorneys, John Dowd , to former defense secretary Jim Mattis , after Mattis heavily criticized Trump on Wednesday for dividing America.
The tweet shows the text of the letter, which supports the violent clearing earlier in the week of the small Lafayette park area between the White House and St John’s church nearby, where protesters were gathered, so that Trump could hold a photo op outside the so-called “Church of the Presidents”.
The letter says: “The phony protesters in Lafayette park were not peaceful and are not real. They are terrorists using idle hate-filled students to burn and destroy.”
