Philly
I’m a firefighter in the same city. It’s true. I’ll see if I can dig up pictures of the squad.
Btw I’m team abolish the police.
Here’s the headrest. He got two in the leg and another hit his weapon. That were “ambushed” in an alley. I suppose they could be lying, but the footage will be out eventually. I think the story is accurate.
Motherfucker, there is no “lean right” anymore at this point in time. The “lean right” crowd has elected Donald Trump, an actual authoritarian monster, and continues to support the Republican Party that is enabling his consolidation of power and destruction of our most important institutions. You are not “lean right” you are with them, full stop. In short, fuck you, gtfo.

The #Irish are always at the forefront against #racism & #discrimination.
Let’s not get crazy, now. Still nice to see.
Bog creatures don’t have the brain pan required to discern race. It’s a beautiful thing.
The art on that building is so disgusting it doesn’t need any graffiti.
@anon38180840 Here’s a link from the EFF on how to protect your data while protesting. It’s from 2019 so a bit outdated given recent court rulings- supposedly they can’t go through your phone anymore. Sure.
Pretty hilarious. Apparently there was some violent protesting near us and my trumpet dad of course heard it was was antifa. Both him and my sister called to make sure I wasnt put there loool.
They know I’m full lock down cuz my mom but it makes me happy thinking I might go out.
Think we’ve already lost the messaging battle. My partner, who is the nicest most empathetic person, her initial response just from just seeing peripheral reports in the MSM was ‘I get why they’re angry but the violence and looting don’t help the cause’. Had to explain that most of the violence is one way from the police to the protesters but there’s really zero mainstream news out there that frames the violence as something the police are largely instigating. The media genuinely is the enemy of the people at this point. Just in a hopelessly and darkly ironic way.
We’re definitely losing it.
My wife had absolutely no idea who George Floyd was until I mentioned him like 2 days after his death.
But damn is she pissed at some graffiti on some poor innocent person’s shop
Is this what a Civil War is? Because it feels like one
Can someone please repost that Twitter account keeping track of the police misconduct during the protests. I thought I flagged it and now I can’t find it in here.
Nvmd found it: https://twitter.com/greg_doucette/status/1266751520055459847
It was already lost from the start. It’s the same playbook over and over.
These people identify with the cops. They might not even believe that they do, but they do. They just can’t imagine the entire institution as existing to maintain a racist, classist social order.
They see the police brutality, but their minds go “Well yeah, that’s awful, but what did they do to deserve it?”
They see people breaking some windows and taking shit and all that capitalist propaganda just floods even their well-meaning thoughts. They don’t ever think, “Well what did those stores, those capitalists, that system to deserve it?”
I don’t think you can win this messaging war. It doesn’t even matter if protesters tie their hands behind their backs and act like saints, the message will be the same and it will be heard.
This one?
