I’ve seen more clips where they run it 2 or 3 times this month than I’ve seen my whole life. Weird.
Why do they even let you put anything but chips on the felt? Maybe a chip protector, but it seems super easy to stop this kind of cheating by just not letting anyone put anything on the table.

One of the guys in the story had the camera in his clothing and was still somehow able to read cards coming out of a shoe.
Easy to combat: Suck out == dunk tank.

This just popped up on my timeline. Apparently, some big names (DNegs, Isai, etc) spent several months organizing a charity event during the WSOP Bahamas to raise money for families/orphans of IDF soldiers. Reached out a while ago to people they thought might play but didn’t put it on the public schedule (announced it more publicly 24 hours before the start) probably b/c they knew they’d catch heat for it and wanted to limit how much time they had to deal with the controversy.
only in today’s society where money for widows and orphans is considered some sort of controversy.
So you’d be cool with a charity for the widows and orphans of dead Hamas fighters?

hellmuth has a 3b strategy of the nuts or Q/rag J/rag, been that way for a long time. Especially in the BB vs a late/button open. Often he likes to trap a big pair too kinda weights a bit more toward the crap.
Though that was a spot that with the button or his wasn’t clear stack size gotta use a lower amount so if you get jammed on you don’t have to call it off but phil gonna phil.
i think the optimal strategy is to not 3b Q2o off a 30bb stack

luckily for phil its very hard to find players who would get it in there with Q2o in a 25k.

Looks like the new GG/WSOP duo gonna be short on the guarantee (50m on a 25k tournament) even with 12 possible re-entries for players.
WPT are running their 10k championship at the Wynn during the same time as well. They announced it first but WSOP are stubborn and stupid. Could have easily filled it up with better scheduling.

The call all-in is close to OK. He needs about 27-28% equity and he probably has around 26%. With a wider range, he might even be correct to call (ignoring ICM). It’s the choice to 3bet in the first place that was bad, even against a button raise.
