Ehhh, they could just think it’s bad for business to accuse her and/or get involved. Dwan and Polk area both pretty convinced there was cheating.

I don’t really trust polk’s opinion about this kind of stuff, and lot of it seems to be drumming up content, but I heard a lot of interviews he did and it basically boils down to him seemingly thinking it completely impossible for any human being to make a call like this, like he’s too good to understand that fish exist and how they think. I’ve seen lots of tweets of various pros and people who have played with her attesting to the fact that she can make really weird plays and I saw one hand where she supposedly miss read a full house she had as two pair.
All of this makes me think the poker “hustle” i thought of a while ago because I swear I saw someone running this con in vegas once, is to put an attractive dumb-seeming woman at the table to do shit like this to draw all the attention while you rob everyone blind.
There’s a range of possible logical explanations. I think the no-cheating one is the best one, but I acknowledge how someone can reasonably think otherwise.
CW thinks her giving the money back is evidence she cheated. I go with the Negreanu line that her giving back the money is not how I would expect a cheater to act, but I can see why someone would think the opposite.
My interpretation of her behavior is based on psychology, the same sort of stuff that makes people think that my live reads are so lol. She comes across to me as an attention whore who wants to be on stream and wants to find a spot make a stand against Garrett because she feels bullied. She goes with a hero call and not some crazy re-re-bluff that a typical dude (often with a mindset of…yeah, I’m going to say it, toxic masculinity) with those goals would want to pull off. The Doug Polks of the world find her play incomprehensible because it doesn’t fit a paradigm of fighting back with aggression. The aggression she does show, a min-raise, is seen as a weak play.
It is a really difficult thing to be accused of something you didn’t do, in general, let alone by a mob of people utterly convinced of your guilt - even if it’s like 6-12 people on an internet forum it’s rough, let alone all of incel twitter - it doesn’t really matter what you say or do, anything will be twisted as evidence of your guilt. She’d be wisest to just stfu but like you said she does seem to enjoy the attention a lot.
I can’t think of any evidence that would completely exonerate her. Maybe if you had clear proof that it was actually GMan who was cheating.
That’s the thing why it’s so shitty. People use the fact that something isn’t disprovable and use it as evidence that it happened. I can think of some recent examples.
The burden of evidence isn’t on her, it’s on garrett.

forgot to mention from that vertucci interview he stated that HCL is 100% uninvolved with any transaction between the two of them nor will they be going forward - it’s gonna be interesting to see what garrett does if it goes a long time with no evidence produced. I think he’ll do the right thing, but there could be drama there. The fact it isn’t already held in escrow is kinda nuts to me.
Polk is opportunistic. “No cheat” doesn’t get as many podcast listens.

I’d like to know if he had any communication with Vertucci before confronting Robbi in the hallway. Did Joey ask Vertucci if he had a piece of Garrett in these games?

What if Garrett suspects cheating because cheating has occurred in the past and been covered up because it would be bad for the show?
This was obvious and Clovis explained very very clearly what part CW was fantasizing about.
I assume these live recorded games are some of the cleanest around. I just assume people are ghosting and stuff like that in private home games I play online. since I think I am better than the ghosts I don’t care.
What if Garrett actually doesn’t know what beats what but has spent 20 years using the implant in his brain to beat poker?!? It is pretty obvious when you think about it that some alien race could have been using him as a vessel for their research this whole time
I don’t think that’s possible. There can only be a lack of evidence conclusively implicating her.
