yea questioning dgaf is a bit out of line, dude hasn’t been even tangentially involved in any of this and at worst is guilty of being fed fish to crush on the monday show
Questioning DGAF is tit for tat behavior meant to punish those who come across as excessive in pursuing the pro-cheating angle.
i think tom dwan has questioned dgaf and said he had numerous well respected people telling him to do so
Dwan seems to fully embrace conspiracy thinking.
He only likes good conspiracy thinking.

I’m just absolutely befuddled that seeming poker experts with at least some basic knowledge of statistics point to “anomalies” in this data, like someone winning from a particular seat when the sample size is in the hundreds of hands. trying to make a conclusion about a larger trend over such a small sample is utterly and absolutely ridiculous and makes me wonder if postle was even cheating at all, given the “sleuthing” skills on display in this community.
Questioning DGAF is as legit as questioning Nik Airball and Beanz. DGAF has as much, if not more connection to the scandal as they did. He leant $10k to Bryan - which IMO is far more suspicious that Beanz getting lent $20k from Robbi or Nik lending $175k to Rip. Poker players lend money (including big sums) to each other pretty often.
On the other hand, lending $10k (and it could be more, we only know the $10k since it was caught on camera) to a guy making $15/hour in production is odd. It’s even more sketchy when he is one of the few people with real-time access to the hole cards in a game you are a player in. If I were one of the other players, I’m not sure I’d be comfortable playing in such a game.
This is also on Hustler as they should have had rules regarding financial interactions between their production staff and the players.
It’s also pretty naïve and condescending of Garrett to tell people to “Be Better” - you don’t get to unleash the 2+2 crowd and expect them to not get out of control. If Garrett wanted this to be handled discreetly, he should have just raised the issues with Hustler staff and then shut his mouth until their investigation was over. Instead, he’s egging them on by making his own massive posts.
serious q, what is suspicious about this? people make loans at the table all the time even in the games I play in. sometimes your bank’s just being an ass or a wire transfer is taking longer than you expected. he wouldn’t necessarily know every detail about bryan’s financial situation, 10k is likely not a lot of money to him, and he could easily tell himself that the kid wouldn’t stiff him because that’d be really stupid while working for a production like that.
HCL clearly has issues but these are issues I’d totally expect in a stream like this in a production crew with zero technical or security experts other than a small-dicked syndrome ex-cop that apparently doesn’t know what MFA is.
$10k may not be a lot to DGAF, but it’s a lot to a kid making $15 an hour. Having one of the few people who has easy ability to help you cheat owe you money is suspicious. Seems like if you wanted to cheat the game, the best way to do so would be to get leverage over someone like Bryan.
I think I’ve pointed this out before, but this is literally one of the plot points in Casino. Nicky lends money to dealers that are degenerate gamblers and when they can’t repay, he forces them to help him cheat.
I’m not really convinced at all this kid could actually help anyone cheat and as far as cheating goes in that particular game, it’s built to be so ridiculously soft that the incentive to cheat has to be nearly nonexistent for anyone with a pulse and basic poker knowledge. That same game has hellmuth pulling a blatant level 0 live angle shoot on some poor kid (and hilariously losing the pot anyway) and no one even realized or said shit about it, these are players with almost zero poker experience they get into that game.
The real q i have is whose dick do I have to suck to get into these 25/50 games that are soft as all fuck - that could be part of the loan thing, wanting to be helpful or appearing as helpful to the production crew that is stocking your game full of fish. why him though? legit question, but it appears he’s just friends with the right people.
Helmuth and DGAF have never played in the same game, so not sure what that has to do with anything. Helmuth only played in two special super soft line-ups. DGAG plays soft line-ups, but not with the same droolers Helmuth was playing.
Even if DGAF can beat the games legit, doesn’t mean people won’t also cheat. Hate to go back to movies, but this was also literally one of the biggest scenes in Rounders. Maybe DGAF is less like Mike and more like Worm, so will take ever angle he can get.
edit: to be clear, I’m not saying I think DGAF cheated. I’m just saying that the loan is suspicious and if we’re looking into Bryan, we should look into his relationship with DGAF. I also think that Hustler should have had rules preventing this type of financial interaction between it’s staff and players in its game.
I was using the hellmuth hand I saw as an example that this game is very soft and there seems to be some leeway given in the name of entertainment. I am not trying to make all these tenuous connections to every single other thing like everyone else is doing. I think in any of these games the more you pull back the more nastiness you will find, but like, that doesn’t mean it’s all connected and I have yet to see a suspicious dgaf hand.
Dgaf is way more sus than all the other names linked to it
I genuinely wonder if any game could survive this level of scrutiny. Streamed or not.
I thought it was sus until I looked at the hands in question and ran the math on his winrate. It was something like 22bb/hr in around 115 hours (using $60bb, it’s 10/20/40 (20) and the standard open seems to be $140+). In that game in the best or second best seat positionally, that seems reasonable to me.
I watched 10-15 hands and the only one that looked significantly suspicious was calling a 4b with K9ss, floating J82r one spade and jamming an 8x turn when checked to for ~75% pot IIRC. That’s pretty wild, until you look at his opponent’s cards: 62o. It’s pretty easy to believe he knows the guys getting super out of line pretty often if 62o shows up in the 4bet range, I doubt it’s his first time ever 4betting air in the stream and it’s all on film.
I’ve also seen him call river bets light and be wrong several times.
People should keep looking at his hands on stream, but so far they don’t seem to paint a picture of cheating.
Like most things in life, it’s about having relationships with the right people and being pleasant to be around.
Or just bribing the gatekeeper ldo
Exactly. Think about the type of person you like to have at the table even if they’re a good player, then be like that at the table.
For me it was a semi-private game so anyone got one shot, but most good players couldn’t get a second. I played very loose in LP in single raised pots, made sure I showed some of the junk I was playing, was friendly to everyone but especially the guys organizing it. If they folded to me in a spot I’d never show cards, I’d show if they asked or even just toss them face down to that player and nod at them to peek. In the types of games you want to get into, nobody is enforcing show one show all when you give the whale a look.
I wasn’t kissing anyone’s ass outside of showing hands and such, just chatting them up about sports/travel/stocks/life and being a normal person conversationally.
And no backpack or shades or anything like that.
I also had a fake high level players card from the casino in question, and made sure to lock up my sear with it while getting chips.
yea this is the only “sus” thing here in my opinion is how these crushers end up in streamed games with twitch whales and the like who’ve never played the game at all.
surely dont doubt some funny business is going on there, but I truly doubt at this point it is outright cheating, because there would just be so many weird hands and other than this goofy J4o hand and some obvious signalling/softplay stuff I don’t see any overt “cheating” if you define cheating as having hole card info (I consider softplay a form of cheating but understand why it made be tolerated in a soft game).
my theory right now is we walked into a half dozen mini scams that have nothing to do with cheating and it’s kind of amusing watching everyone wildly try to tie pieces together in a grand conspiracy when much dumber explanations make far more sense. but w/e my opinion doesnt matter. just gonna be annoyed when inevitably no proof comes out and the theorists are gonna use that as evidence of cheating, somehow.
DGAF built that lineup himself I think. That’s his rolodex in action.
I think they were the Bad News Bears of cheating at poker and managed to get caught on one of their first handful of runs. Maybe Bryan has been at it longer, but Robbi and Rip only played a few times and this might have been literally their first session cheating.
Oh I think we did that too lol… I just think there’s still the cheating going on, and a bunch of scammers are getting the spotlight on them and going down.
