Really appreciate the guidance.
Follow up q: I used to 20 table 100NL with a HUD on Pstars. Is that doable on bovada(# of tables and the HUD)?

for cash i believe you’re limited to 4 tables at a time. they do have a rush poker type of deal, however. i only play tourneys so idk the cash games situation.
i don’t use a hud but i’ve heard some people do, but i’ve also heard they’re not allowed so idk.
Basically every site has a table cap now to avoid regs playing every table.
I don’t use an intermediary wallet and I deposited directly from Coinbase
I use Poker Tracker 4 for HUD and tracking. Their plugin for Ignition / Bovada is in beta, but works ok most of the time. If you email support they will give you a 14 day trial key that includes the beta plug in to see if you want to commit to purchasing it.
Any idea if this is against ToS?
It’s scraping live hands. How would they possibly know ?
I will tell them unless you give me 1 million dollars
I deposited on Ignition using bitcoin. It took a few days for Coinbase to make sure I wasn’t doing anything illegal before the transfer from my wallet to the site was completed. I deposited $200 and it was going to result in a starting balance of $198 after fees, but I wound with $204 because the value increased during the waiting period.
When you buy BTC with your bank account, there’s usually a stupid long delay. I got mine held up for 8 days last month. Using debit card is instant.
About to attempt my first BTW withdrawal on there.
ETA Request submitted.
Anyone who can offer advice on the WSOP online events on GG? I am thinking about playing few outside of the bankroll like I would do if I go on a livetrip once a year. I admit I am not at a level where I would take a shot at any 500+ event even if it was during a series like SCOOP or WCOOP. I rather invest 500€ or occasionally 1k into a live event but almost never into an online mtt because I assume they are so much harder skillwise.
HUDs are fine on Bovada, ~every reg uses one and I’ve never heard of any issues. The native PT4 catcher is iffy. Try it out, but most people are still using Ignition Card Catcher.
Anyone mentioning that they send directly to/from Coinbase should really include the disclaimer - “I acknowledge that this will eventually get me banned from Coinbase.”
I’m pretty much of the same mindset as you, and I’m avoiding all the WSOP events. If I’m going to play in a buy-in way over my bankroll, I need the atmosphere and experience that would make me include the cost as part of my vacation expenses, and this obviously doesn’t do it. Plus, I don’t feel that these bracelets are worth nearly enough to make up for that, and yes, these will be miles tougher than an equivalent live tournament.
Maybe try to satellite in?
Alright - I haven’t posted a serious HH in a LONG time but with all the FUN I’m having diving back into the game, let’s give it a shot shall we.
500NLHE, Villain is the only fish at the table. No HUD but from my observations of about 50 hands he is playing roughly 50vpip/10pfr. Lot of limp calling. Only significant hand with him, I 3b him OOP and he called and folded to cb on Q8x. Rest of the table are multi tabling regs.

Hero ?
Questions:
What is villain’s range after he checks the river?
What is the worst hand Hero bets for value on the river? What sizing?
A majority of the time you should be shoving the majority of your range.
I’d consider AQ/AK thin and everything better a fist pump.
Vs a fish with a turn minraise followed by a river check it’s basically impossible to get a read on his range. Only logic you can employ is that you have top 2 vs a fish, so we have to bet. Don’t think it matters too much between shoving and betting like $160.
A solver would probably say something like shove 70%, bet 1/3 15%, bet 1/2 15% or so, but we are barely ever really polarizing our range by shoving. There are just so few bluffs in our range, its genuinely a handful of specific combos (K10dd, Q10dd, 98dd), some SD value that we might turn into a bluff (QQ, KK) which would be a very weird line for such hands.

I’ve never had a royal
First hand of the day on one table. Lol.
I’ve had one in HE ~15 years ago in a tournament. Probably a half dozen in PLO.
My favorite / most unlikely hand ever is still bad beating myself. I turned quads and a straight flush.
Something like this iirc
Just hit my coinbase account. A little over 48 hours.
