$15 double board PLO bomb pot. Effective stacks ~1800 except for BTN who has ~350. 9 ways to flop, I have KKd9d5 UTG
Flop Qd Ts 3d
Flop Kc Tc 5h (Pot 135)
I bet 125, UTG+1 calls, MP calls, CO calls, BTN calls.
Turn 8h Qd Th 3d
Turn Jc Kc Tc 5h (Pot 760)
Checked to CO, who pots for 760, BTN calls AI for ~200, I call, UTG+1 shoves 1700, MP folds, CO calls, I call.
UTG+1 has J964ddhh
CO has QJ98r
BTN has Ac6cxx
River 1 is the Ts and river 2 is Qs
It takes like 5 minutes and some player assistance to chop, I get quartered in a tiny side pot and 1/6th of the large side pot.
Might be a punt, I dunno, wasn’t expecting UTG+1 to rip it ever.
I never played Omaha really or even NL cash games a lot. I was a tournament and STT donk. What would be decent resources to study up on Omaha a bit? If my flights to Tahoe can’t be refunded and the concerts are cancelled because of the fires and toxic smoke, I’m going to go hang with my friend still and sit in the casinos probably. TIA.
Currently watching and just wanted to note that Weisman suggested checking with 100% of range in the first 4-5 positions in an eight-handed bomb pot during his analysis of a double-board bomb pot.
In general, I think players bet the nuts with no or weak re-draws too often when OOP against massively multi-way fields.
I remember before Black Friday when the losers would say that online poker was rigged due to the software being set to grace newbies with sucks outs and coolers to keep them playing.
I also assumed this was ridiculous, but I don’t know enough about programming to know if this really is even possible?
