For Peteās sake, the weather channel is showing Timber Titans, not even a note on screen, just the standard local weather updates on the bottom chyron.
A tsunami capable of producing strong currents that may be hazardous to swimmers, boats, and coastal structures is expected. Widespread inundation is NOT expected. However, damage at the harbors will be possible. Surging water in and out of harbors can cause boats and docks to detach from structures.
Sounds like it should be fairly tame by the time it gets to LA.

Upgraded to warning from northern CA to Oregon border.
GF is saying āOMG Tsumani is coming!ā and Iām saying perhaps 6 inches at most here. However, I am basically on the beach and within the local ātsunami evacuation zone.ā If things get hairy in Seattle, Iāll start packing.

Probably only The Big One on the Cascadia subduction zone.

Northern puget sound is in the advisory zone, so Everett northward. Seattle wonāt see anything.

itās possible it ends up rather calm at hawaii as well but obviously no point in doing anything else but make sure people are off the coast untilā¦ the coast is clear.

Itās not a 6 inch wave pushed by the wind. Itās a 6 inch wave from a 10K amplitude. That shit will kill somebody 5 miles inland if given the chance.

I think you mean wavelength? But yeah, a 6 inch high wave from tides or wind or shit with a short wavelength is ābucketsā of water, but from a tsunami with a massive wavelength, youāre talking about a lakesā worth of water. Even more not something to fuck with than the Wu-Tang Clan.
