There’s a hell of a lot more Todd Todds out there that agree with you.
It’s also totally understandable relative to the mindset of a typical MAGA jihadist. They believe deeply in their hearts that their privilege is deserved and earned, they’d rather go to court and be the center of attention and tell their grievance story than take a deal like a librul coward, and they are very likely to believe that at some point there will be a grand cinematic moment where the judge throws out the case and extols them for their bravery and patriotism.

Banuelos has not been arrested or charged in connection with Jan. 6; the Salt Lake City police had arrested him in connection with the fatal stabbing of 19-year-old Christopher Thomas Senn in a park on July 4, 2021.
…The Salt Lake City DA’s office did not pursue a case against Banuelos, who claimed self-defense in Senn’s death.
