Effing Air France. Was upgraded and they serve us like 4,000 calories. It’s a 7.5 hour flight and they took up over two hours doing food service.
Give me a plate of food and let me use my lay flat seat.
Most airlines will let you do an “express” service in business class, they just bring out all the food at once instead of spacing it out. I do this pretty regularly on Delta regardless of which way I’m going (or, when going to Europe I just eat before the flight and go straight to sleep since the flight is so short).
It wouldn’t surprise me if Air France didn’t allow this, though.
You can tell them to bring you food immediately after takeoff, go to sleep thereafter and refuse the 2nd meal.
First time up front on Air France. By the time I realized what was happening it was too late. Then it became comical.
In Italy we couldn’t get our partners to just bring in food for lunch. We had a shit ton of work to do at the plant and going out for lunch every day just meant staying 2 hours later. But nah. Not once over months.
Can definitely relate to the always going out for not just a long lunch lunch but also a mid morning coffee on a project in Spain. I loved it because I was a contractor to IBM that ran the project and just got paid and didn’t care about the project not completing on time. The IBM PM from Holland was not amused though but he had no way to stop it.
