PPT > Visio IMO. Using Excel for diagrams is absurd even though it’s common.

One of my two business ventures is targeted at displacing MS Office products for a particular highly specialized subset of diagramming tasks. My general theory is that for tasks like this, you can only have 2 of 3 out of: ease of use, power, and generality. PPT/Visio are general and easy to use, but have limited capabilities. Excel is powerful and general, but miserable to use.
I’m sure. Long time ago I used to do real estate appraisal and had to draw the layout of houses all the time. There was a software program for that that was a million times better than anything else I’ve seen - but it was specialized. I do plans for solar on SketchUp/Layout now, which people can do some amazing things with, but it’s a huge PITA compared to something that’s designed for exactly what you want. If you’re repeatedly doing some specialized diagramming I’m sure you could crush any of the general tools.
eta: I did some work on a tool to auto-generate most of a set of solar plans and worked with someone else for a bit, but it became clear as the price of having a set of plans done got lower and lower, that it wouldn’t be worth the effort to try to create something to sell. For one person to use developing new software is not worth it vs having a library of stuff to copy and paste from.
Doesn’t Chrome kick in here? Or is there a linked in desktop app you’re using?

That’s cool. I don’t think it is, but it looks like it is built on Google Draw/Slides/Sheets.

Every year I put off sorting the financial stuff for my piddling one man business till the last moment. Every year in the first hour when I hunt for stuff that I have only a vague idea exactly where I kept them (and even if I did actually keep them), I loathe myself and swear that I will stay on top of things in this upcoming year.
Then it usually settles down into tedium, and that drags on and on, and by the end I have had such a boring time that I forget my resolutions and the circle of life begins again.
This year, though, I definitely have a system.
