Pasta water has a ton of starch in it that should be washed off your pot. That could fuel bacterial growth if not cleaned. Egg water seems like no worries unless one of the eggs gets a small crack and leaks.
Iāll ask Mr Rexx when he gets home. Iām pretty sure heāll agree with you.
Adding oil to your pasta water does - at best - absolutely nothing. At worst it might make sauce not adhere well, but thatās kind of dubious too. Basically itās just wasting oil for no clear reason at all.
You chumps are sanitizing your pots when theyāre just going to be filled with boiling water again anyway.
At least I am not wasting detergent.
If this is the biggest argument youāve had in a year you are either really winning at marriage or really losing.
Btw, eggs have bird poop and bits of feathers and shit on the outside, which is now coating your pot.
If youāre saying what I think youāre saying, yeah, Iād wash.
Did any of the eggs crack? And what do you mean by wash? A quick rinse wouldnāt be uncalled for, but actually using soap on it seem excessive.
The amount of salt that should be added to pasta water indicates that it needs more cleaning than the boiled egg scenario though.
We are assuming that no eggs cracked. By wash I mean a slight rinse with soap.
those carpets lol!
Overkill but probably only a few seconds longer than just swish with water and into the drying rack.
Building immunity ftw!
I seriously had a big argument tonight so I started to read this and thought āIām not aloneā.
But the lightheartedness made me feel better too.
Rogan bros not gonna like this.
Isnāt that all cleaned off and sanitized before itās put in the carton and sold at the store?
Mr Rexx agreed with you! ha ha and he said with disgust āYou are in the other camp arenāt you?ā lol. We both agreed that a rinse with boiling water should be sufficient though. Marital harmony for the Rexx family!
Did you get married recently? I thought you had a bf
