LA has hamburger stands everywhere - all Greek owned and started in the 50s and 60s - with variations on these signs.
The sad part is they all use frozen burgers. Their grills are so well seasoned, and some of them really take care with the other ingredients. But frozen burgers can only ever taste so good. Drives me nuts some of them don’t offer fresh ground burgers for a higher price - but then they’d have to admit the rest is frozen.
@suzzer Remember the alpha hippie ad I posted? I’m pretty sure he somehow found our convo here because the ads I got for a week said “Want to get UNSTUCK?” after the initial whining about his life issues.
The first time I checked the price of bitcoin it was $30. Some time later, I thought “Maybe I should look into investing in this”. At that point it was over $300. I decided I had missed the boat and did not consider it again. LOL me.
Seems to me there are a lot of bubbles happening at the same time. You’ve got the collectibles bubble, housing bubble, crypto bubble, and a stock market bubble. Basically everything is overvalued but everyone is so invested in the game that I think everything can go up for a while yet.

“Comparing to our General Tao chicken, this one is not THAT good,” reads the entry for orange beef. “Anyway, I am not a big fan of North American Chinese food and it’s your call.”
Another entry warns: “Don’t let the name fool you, this one is NOT authentic Chinese food.” Elsewhere, Fei candidly admits that he’s “not a huge fan” of the restaurant’s version of sweet and sour pork strips.
Under “mouth-watering chicken”, Fei writes: “We are not 100% satisfied with the flavor now and it will get better really soon. PS: I am surprised that some customers still order this plate.”
Should be good through the end of 2022 if you earned it in January of this year. But I guess more likely you squeaked in under the wire in December, so only good for the rest of the year.
Which raising the min. wage will do! Because it puts upward pressure on all wages at the lower end of the scale, for exactly the reasons this poster is almost grasping but can’t quite make the final leap to understand.
