Still didn’t think that 6% was available by draft.
My sister went to college in Boston and doesn’t remember it being specifically an East Coast thing. I know I’ve seen it in Colorado, Oregon and Washington. First time I saw it I thought it was just a marketing thing by Land O Lakes, we have both kinds in the house right now in Washington.
Ohh, I thought you were talking the difference between these 2 styles:
That looks like two sticks worth of butter and I’ve never seen that. I spent way too long in Ohio and while not a butter fiend did use it and don’t remember seeing it there. Weird.
What is wrong with you people?
a lot
american recipes are basically impossible for non-usaians to follow, doing everything by weight makes 10000x more sense so of course we aren’t going to fucking do that
Appears not. Try again next century!
Even if I managed to get the quanities right I’d mess up with the temperature
Are you saying metric butter sticks aren’t labeled with gram markings on them? Figuring out what 15g of butter is without a scale would be a pain in the ass. For most recipes volume works just as well as weights.
It’s only 10 days into 2021, and I’m already dealing with a great personal tragedy. Today I buried my 2nd pair of bargain bin wireless earbuds in a year, making my total investment in wireless earbuds (with no net functional wireless earbuds) $40, the cost of a 2nd tier brand of wireless earbuds. What is my play now?
- Buy another pair of $15-20 cheapo wireless earbuds
- Buy a medium pair of wireless earbuds ($40-70)
- Buy some ridiculously overpriced pair of wireless earbuds
- Cut off both ears

I have had a $25 set of Anker wireless headphones for like 5 years now and they still work great. Try another cheap one
Edit: these are the ones I have, actually $30 though this is probably a more recent version

I should note that I’m not a snob for amazing sound quality, just need something that stays in my ears during workouts and lasts long enough for a day or two worth of commutes before I have to recharge, and these provide that
I’ve been very pleased with my air pods so far and I a) have terrible luck with ear buds and b) usually hate everything Apple does from a usability POV. Well their software anyway. Hardware is usually fine. But I figured they’d have some horrible iTunes-y way to deal with them. Instead they just work. Yay.
Recent developments in sliced bread.

The AirPods Pro are expensive but are the best bluetooth headset I’ve used. Before them I used up a couple of pair of Beats PowerBeats, the dorky ear clip ones connected by a cable. They were the first bluetooth headsets I used that didn’t drop signal when I put my phone in my pants pocket on hikes. Apparently I’m weirdly dense to bluetooth signals…
What is this the best thing since?
You’re just dismissing the idea because you’ve thought about it for a second or two and quickly realized it’s very stupid and impractical for at least a half dozen different reasons.
Here’s one of my favorite planned city attempts:
How it started:
How it’s going:
It was decided not to let any slum pockets pop up across the city. But it failed. as, according to the 2001 census, a fifth[12][13] to a third[14] of the population of municipalised Navi Mumbai lives in slums [15] and gaothans (urban villages),[11] with thousands of buildings violating planning norms.[16]
Never order your city on Wish, even if it looks like a great deal
